I spent all day converting the steroid.com android app for boackberry playbook users. if anybody is interested I will post a link to the download!!! I am writing this post from the tablet right now! also, I know this is the wrong place to post it. so move it to correct spot please

I've found that it is stable only when holding it in portrait mode. landscape mode will freeze while rephreshing. make sense since on the apk version there is not a landscape mode enabled. on the .bar file I am unsure how to permanately disable landscape mode.. I will be testing photo attachments in the post right now...



ok so adding image from gallery works. but using the "from camera" option it will take the pic but not recognize that the pic was taken in the .bar file. also. in playbook QNX 2.0 spell correction isn't present it seems in the converted file.

orientation lock fixes the freezing from accidental rotating of the tablet.

Not approved. Just something I did for me so I could have notifications on post updates better. Its digitally signed by research in motion but still has to be side loaded from computer. Hasn't gotten approval from admin yet

ok another thing i just found. when clicking embedded images in .bar steroid.com app, it is just like in the .apk app...but the quirk being if you click a HTML hyperlink to a website.. it will say your not connected to the internet,, press ok. then the ANDROID mobile browser loads and it goes to the website (depending on the site, it may load a mobile version or a desktop version) this is getting pretty interesting!
