    Times between meals

    Hi all

    I know you must be getting bored of all my questions but I wanted to know what's the best amount of time to leave between meals in order to speed up your metabolism? I currently eat every 3 hours but was thinking to change it to every 2.5 hours would this be better for me or shall I stick to 3 hours??

    Meal timing is irrelevant as far as 'boosting' your metabolism goes. It's a myth. Eat whenever it is convenient or when you are hungry. 3 meals or 10 meals a day just hit you macro's.

    Agreed. The whole Intermittent Fasting craze about a year ago for me really opened my eyes and the fat just fell off. Granted it was more diet that IF, but it sure did make sticking to the diet easy.

    Not at all man, it's better to ask even what you think might be a stupid question (not saying this one is) than to assume something you're not sure about. That's what this section is here for.

    ^^ this. Whether you eat 3000 calories in 3 meals or 10, the body has to metabolize 3000 calories. The only time you need to worry about slowing your metabolism is if you are in a severe caloric deficit for an appreciable length of time (depends on the individual), or literally starve yourself, i.e. fasting for days at a time... 72 hours has been thrown around as the limit for fasting... the 'danger zone'. Most people I know who run IF diets dont' fast for longer than 20 hours, so no worries whatsoever.
