Here's a great example as to why TSH is a poor marker for Thyroid function.
TSH = 1.53 (0.40-4.50 mIU/L)
TSH is fine.
T4, free = 1.1 (0.8-1.8 ng/dL)
T4 is best at mid to upper reference and here we are 0.3 ng/dl from being below bottom range.
T3, free = 2.9 (2.3-4.2 pg/mL)
More importantly, however, the conversion from T4 to T3 is very poor. This assay is best at upper part of the reference range and here you are near bottom. T3 Thyroxine is the bio available form of this hormone and critical for so many things!
Both of these could go to explain why you feel like you do and why your Doc put you on 60mg Armour.
I'd like to see RT3 and Thyroid Anti Bodies as well.
