Just how harsh is test on kidneys?

I've been having some terrible nosebleeds. First thought it was blood pressure but I've Bren digging and reading and found that kidney damage can cause nosebleeds and now I'm wondering just how toxic test could be on the kidneys. Anyone ever experienced any problems with kidney function while on cycle? Yes I'm consuming much water. Maybe over 1.5 gal a day

No I'm def not sure if the test and nosebleeds are related. That's kind of just something that popped in mind when I read that kidney damage could result in nosebleeds. And there's no way I'm not picking my boogers so.......

Oh and yes I did check bp. I was checking at cvs and it scared the shit out o me cause it was reading ~167/90 but then I checked on a home device several times at my dads house and it was in great shape. I just want to take all precautions and not put myself in any situation I don't have to be in. There's always a safer way to do things and that's normally my route

What do you do for a living? All jokes aside, I've inhaled certain powders without realizing it while working, that have caused random nose bleeds that lasted on and off for weeks.

    ....I knew I was asking for trouble.....lol.

I'm an exterminator and 5 years of working with powders, never had a problem. It wasn't until.......about 2 months ago that I realized a certain dust was causing my nose to bleed randomly.

Did you travel recently? I get nose bleeds 10 minutes after I land in El Paso, TX. Every time. Never fails. Goes away after a few days. I guess the body gets used to the altitude and humidity.

Nose bleeds could be just about anything. Dry air, inhaling certain chemicals, alcohol, blood pressure, kidney failure... you name it. If it doesnt go away see a doc asap.

Just thought if share that I had a kidney stone last week... I promise you that you don't want to go through that.

But yeah, I'm not exactly sure how kidney issues makes your nose bleed. Maybe from passing out from the pain from a kidney stone and smashing your face off the floor... I don't know.

I wouldn't over think it too much, as a highscool athlete I use to get frequent nose bleeds, just blood vessels breaking from hard training. But every one is different? kinda? yea? well I wouldn't even begin to presume I know you, or your medical history. In general that amount of test would not be toxic enough on liver to cause many problems at all. You could have some other problem relating to your nose bleeds, are you a weekend warrior when it comes to partying?

Your nosebleeds probably are not from impaired kidney function. You would have a lot more symptoms for sure. If you're very concerned its your kidneys, go get a blood test - it's the onnly absolute surefire way to know. You do have a good question as to whether or not AAS do negatively affect the kidneys though. I would like to see some research on this.

With that being said, i've been cycling AAS for 5 years now. Every blood test from the doc has shown elevated creatinine levels. He wasn't THAT concerned because the levels were not too high but they were high nonetheless. He atributed it to my intense training in the gym and high protein and caloric intake. But I do wonder if the AAS played a role in it as well.....

Oh, aaand I forgot to add that my latest bloodwork as of March 2012 shows my creatinine levels down to the normal range. This is 4 months after the last cycle I did prior to that bloodwork. Not sure what to make of that. Makes me wonder if AAS has more of an effect on the kidneys than we think.

Lil Man, I doubt your nose bleeds are caused by your high BP. Before I got put on meds, my blood pressure was a lot higher than yours and the only time I had a nose bleed was when I picked it a little too deep. Because of the time of year, if I were to bet on anything, I'd say your nose bleeds might be allergy or dryness related.

I get nose bleeds when I go to Texas too, along with headaches, chronic anxiety & frustration & the crawling feeling of infestation. This is usually followed by the urgent necessity to get the fvck out as quick a possible.

I went through kidney failure when I was 18. Wasnt preety. I had a bad snowboarding accident, broke my back, internal bruising, etc. Kidneys shut down and creatinine levels in blood got to very toxic levels. I did not experience nosebleeds. It started with lower back pain, which I thought was just due to broken vertabrae, so I ignored it for a day or two. Woke up in the middle of the night in full on convulsions. Roomate rushed me to er, ended up with cathator up my dick, etc, no fun. If you are worried about your kidneys I would recommend going to docs and getting blood test, as this will tell how your kidneys are functioning via cratinine levels...
