Thread: What to take for my first real cycle?

  1. #1

Cool What to take for my first real cycle?

I'm 20 years old right now, will be 21 in September. Currently weigh 183 lbs at 15% body fat, 5'10". Bench press 1RM is 275, squat 305, deadlift 315, but I just started doing deadlifts again after a while. My ultimate goal weight is 195 lbs at about 10% body fat, but for now I just want to focus on getting to 200 lbs at about the same body fat %.

I did a cycle of Epistane when I was 19, went from 165 to about 175 but it was dumb at that age. I stopped going to the gym and didn't eat enough so I lost all the gains. So I started at 165 and worked my way up to 183, which is what I weigh now, took me about 9 months, all natural. I'm a bit scared of injecting myself and I think I'd rather go with oral ones if I was gonna take any kind of steroid .

I'm thinking about taking something right now, but not sure still...another thing that has held me back is the fear of developing gyno haha

    Welcome TGSB,

You're about 4 to 5 years away from being able to cycle safely. The issue here is more than likely your diet and training routine as at your age, you should have plenty of natural testosterone flowing. You should take advantage of that. If your diet is poor, your AAS results will be poor. Visit the nutrition forum and let the pro's help you tweak your diet so that you can maximize on your gains.

    Best of luck.

    Welcome to the board mate!
Your hormonal system is still developing, and will continue to do so until your mid twenties. Which means taking steroids now could stunt this development and possibly cause damage. Please wait until your mid twenties before taking steroids. Until then, focus on your diet and exercise routines that will allow you to build your natural base.
    Cheers!

I've been trying to do focus on my nutrition more and more, but the thought of eating 3,000 calories a day just to maintain my current weight is just overwhelming for me. That's why I just try to eat every 2-3 hours and not really count the calories. I know if I want to be successful I need to count the calories and eat 300-400 more than 3000 in order to gain...but just thinking about eating that much all week long just frustrates me, that's why I haven't gained weight faster. Took me about 3 years to get from 155 to 183, and I just wanna get to 200 and be done with it

Well, let's take a look at your progress...

You gained 28 lbs in 3 years. That's actually quite good at your age and all natural. So at that rate, you're gaining an average of about 10 lbs per year. So you really have less than 2 years and you will reach your goal and better yet... without harmful compounds. You're doing great, better than a lot of people I know. Be proud and keep lifting. Check the diet forum, the guys there can help you. Tons of people pay a lot of money for nutritional advice, and the pro's here are volunteering their time and knowledge so that you can benefit. Take advantage of this opportunity.

    Best of luck to you.

    Mate,
If your diet isn't right, and you do not have the discipline to eat the requisite number of calories, then when you come off cycle, you will go right back to where you were and lose your gains. This is the problem that ALL newbs have that fail to understand that eating is critical to maintaining gains post cycle. You are not ready, your diet is not ready, your hormonal system is not ready, and it really doesn't matter how impatient you get, there are no shortcuts to getting and maintaining a big physique.

You have a good head on your shoulder mate!

Probably the best way to get your diet in check is to go here:
    http://forums.steroid.com/forumdispl...RESOURCE-FORUM

and take a look at a few of the other member's diets. A good starting point is to use one of them as a template, and create your own. Remember to post macros per meal and total daily macros, AND calculate your TDEE and post that there as well. Your caloric intake should be a good 500+ cals above TDEE if you are wanting to bulk. After posting, you will get some constructive advice so make those adjustements as you deem necessary. After a few months of eating at this level, you will slowly gain more weight. This is the level you need to eat at but remember that as you gain, you need to recalculate your TDEE and make adjustments to your diet.

Now here's the point as was trying to make earlier. Now that you have your diet in check, AND you are gaining WITHOUT steroids, then when you do finally take the plunge, you WILL make gains, and because your diet is in check, you will be able to keep a majority of those gains.

Better to do this thing right as opposed to half asssed, right?

    Good luck!
