I don't know what to say...
Seems like this is only intended to attack the supplement stores, and get anything off of the shelves that is harmful to those too young to be using anabolic substances. I do agree with this, but this doesn't solve anything and will just end up driving everything further underground.
LOL "time will tell"? Time has already told us! It's been over 20 years since the original legislation of anabolic steroids, and these idiots in business suits haven't seen this yet?The realities of demand and supply and our experience with alcohol Prohibition would suggest that legislative efforts like this one don’t entirely eliminate problems but instead may push them underground. Time will tell.
Either way, this doesn't look as bad as it could be. Like I said, primarily just going after what's on the store shelves it seems. I still think this is a stupid futile effort.
I think its a GOOD thing that they are closing the loop holes in dealing with companies putting steroids in bottles and selling them as toxic orals. I know more people who have gotten gyno from using prohormones than I do from using steroids. Not only that, we talk about teaching young people not to use steroids on this site until they are into their 20's and 16,17, 18 etc.. are using these oral steroids and are COMPLETELY oblivious to the dangers of using them because they are labeled as "dietary supplements" sold in a health food store.
I dont like big government, but I dont like people putting steroids in supplements and selling them to teens.
I see both sides of this. It would be great to control it and keep it out of kids hands and prevent the damage we are all aware of. Flip side is that the black market for it can just get bigger and even more unsafe. Further, people who just want to be a little bigger, faster or stronger can now easily become felons. There needs to be some type of balance but finding that is the dilemma, especially if congress is involved.
The best course of action would be regulating purchases on the basis of age rather than pulling the products away from everyone. Allow adults to make a purchase if they desire but restrict adolescent purchases. This just makes sense, but that means it won't happen since its become a government issue.
I read a lot of the article but I didnt find an answer to this, could this affect research chem companies? with products like nolva, stane, anastrozole etc.
