    Cheating...?

    Is it ok to have a not so healthy dinner every once in awhile? I eat good all week long but, sometimes chicken and wg rice ain't cuttin it. Here is what I ate today.


    6am protein shake with uncooked oats
    7am run for 4 miles (cardo day)
    8am cooked oat with a banana
    1pm 1 6oz chicken Brest and 6oz steamed broc
    2pm 1 can tuna 2boiled eggs
    4pm A sweet potato and 4oz steak

    Normally I will end the day with a bowl of pasta or a half rotesrey chicken w/ mixed veg... But today I got a 6in sub with plenty of veg and course ground (mmmmmmmm) mustard and about 2 cups of pasta salad. I justified it cause I ran this morning but I feel like I sh!t on my diet and should go run some more... Whatcha think guys.. We can't eat perfect 365days of the year right??

    I think a cheat meal/day is absolutely neccesary to stay sane and give in to your cravings. I usually have a cheat day or meal after every 4-5lbs I loose.

    If a 6inch sub is your cheat meal I wouldn't worry at all . My cheat meals consist of sweets or Chinese buffets .

    Thx JB. What do you think about coffee? I drink the sh!t out of it. I'm drinking plenty of water. Probably 1.5 gal a day at least. I gave up my red bull due to the sodium in that crap.. So my caffeine fix has turn the a cup of joe.. Prolly 4-5 a day.

    Yea bro, a sub is really no big deal... on my cheating days a get carried away and go all out.. Oh man... now i am craving a chinese buffet!!

    you end the day with a bowl of pasta OR chicken? one of your meals is complex and simple carbs, where's the protein ma!? Adding all of that up real quick, it only seems as though you're taking in less then 150g protein/day. What are your stats and what exactly are you trying to do? Instead of worrying about cheat meals lets get your diet in check first. Once you have that I bet you will be less eager to cheat because you'll be seeing that much of a difference with your body composition.

    If you do have at least one day set aside to have a cheat meal you could go insane...lol
    I have a cheat day with several cheat meals, I find it seems to trick my body and my motabolism seems to pick up when I start eating healthy again.

    I don't think there's anything wrong with coffee. I make a strong pot and have it every morning. Just make sure you're not loading it with sugar or creamer and you should be ok. I drink it straight black so I don't have to worry about all those things!

    U have to cheat to b sane..I would switch some things up with ur diet..Its clean,but i like cardio on an empty stomach running is too catabolic for me.. i would walk or use the ellipitical,then eat the same types of things you do just in larger amounts more spread out and dont eat carb for four hours before I sleep, but I gotta a horrible metabolism and Iam worried about mass..your goals and body might b different..anyways yeah man we used to all go out for a cheat buffet meals you shoulda saw the looks we got 6-8 carb starved guys eating eveything we actually got kicked outta the china buffet because "we eat to much, we too big" it was kinda a compliment so we laughed it off..

    I usally eat a few cups of brwn rice each day aswell. This is my first cycle and I am trying to really just get the most out of it. Im 32 205 5'11 bf 13%... I work out 5x a week and do a cardo day aswell. I am simply just trying to max it out. Any advice on the diet is apreciated.. I was drinking 2 protien shakes a day but was told it was to much and that I need to eat more protien from real foods. anyways.. my diet is clean and it could use some buffering.. i dont drink or smoke so agian pls advise on how i can truly crush this cycle on a better diet then current.Thx btw @ JB black coffee all the way. I cut all sugar from diet except for natural from a piece of fruit here and there.

    cheating doesnt hurt you as long as the "clean" days are more than the junk food days...
    on most ocasions i just eat extra clean for whole week and pig out on weekends. by eating extra clean i mean - i eat dry oatmeal and grilled chicken breast, and i drink whey protein with dextrose in the morning and after workouts and thats it - just 2 things in my diet exept for the shakes.
    my weekend starts at mcdonalds
