I'm a 33 year old male 6' 2" 270 lbs fairly lean ( not sure if those stats matter for this ) I have been using various test gels for years through my doctor really only got me to low normal levels. The past five weeks I have stopped the gels and getting shots from the doctor. Every Friday 200mg test cyp. Hcg biweekly on the same day not sure how much sorry. And half of a 1mg tab of arimidex Thursday and then Sunday again. How does that sound?

test and AI are fine but hCG should be administered either twice a week the days before your test shot or twice a week split or eod split. what is you body fat %?

I never measured it never felt the need to sorry for the lack of info on that. I was going to do the hcg every week because I can only get there on Friday, but correct me if I am wrong I prob am I read the hcg can increase risk of gyno? Also would 1mg of arimidex twice a week be to much?

that really depends on blood work, most of us here take about 0.5 mg per 100 mgs test. and yes hCG will increase your test and E2 as well, but since you are ion AI's no need to worry about gyno as long as your e2 in in check.

If you're sensitive to gyno then you can increase yoru chances of it with more T and/or HCG, but that would mean you just need more/more frequent anastrozole. If I don't take enough anastrozole I get gyno quite readily.

Also, is this the same doctor? It is a very radical change to go from gels to 200mg test+hcg+AI all at once. For almost all doctors (not "clinics") 200mg is the upper limit for testosterone per week.

Thank you for the response guys I appreciate it. I have one more question really a two part. I've been on the injections only 5 weeks I can not get there every week due to work. I have 3 months of testim gel at home so I just wanted to go back on it. How should I do it. I am going to the doctor this Friday I was thinking of getting an hcg shot no test, then ( this may be overkill ) was thinking a week of the arimidex eod half a pill then just back on the gel. Please correct anything you see wrong just want to do it right.
Also once I'm back on the gel is there any use for the arimidex obviously less if so how much?

The transdermals also convert to estradiol, as T rises E2 will follow. Proper bw would be needed to confirm e2 level. Everyone is different so impossible to know if an AI would be needed.

Hey Moose. Welcome to the forum. I have been on TRT since 1993 and at a dosage of 200mg/week of test e I never need an ai. Only when I blast at higher dosages do I take adex. Get bloodwork and check your E2 (estradiol) to see if you need an ai. If I took an ai on my TRT dose my E2 would be way low. Best of luck.

Yeah I have been on the gel for years blood work always showed the test up
To low normal on it, I never new much about estrogen production maybe that explains why I never felt that much on the gel and still lethargic. Like you said my next blood work I have to test estrogen.

Are you saying you want to come off of shots altogether?

If so, I would just wait a week after my last shot and then start the gels as normal.

Whether or not you need an AI is totally dependent on blood work and symptoms. I would never just go on an AI unless I HAD to.

Yeah I wanted to go off the shots and back on the gel last shot was Friday I've been taking 1mg arimidex Thursday and Sunday. My plan was to just get the hcg this Friday and half an arimidex the day before then back on the gel a few days after then blood test in 6 weeks. Does that sound good? No ai on the gel right?

Gel and shots really mean nothing with regard to needing an AI. Both deliveries will increase your esradiol. Get the bloodwork for e2 and then decide on the need for an AI.

Personally, my e2 went above range on both gels and shots, but I convert to e2 very readily.

HCG should be expected to raise estradiol but that is also dose dependent.
