No sir. It is much better to get your protein from real food rather than shakes. A lot of guys on here including myself have 0 or 1 shake a day.
It's the supplement industry that brainwash people into thinking you need 8 pre workout post workout before bed shake everyday. Which is entirely not true a steak chicken or fish is a much better idea.

My personal feelings is some people can't make games because they drink too many shakesis and not enough real food. Again that's my personal opinion

I still drink my shake or 2 every day. But, I get all my supps for free. I try my best to stick to real foods which are protein rich. Think about, the protein we drink from powder no way in how hell sticks in our body like protein from real food does.

I would love to see a study of 2(or more) fairly equal guys eat solid(chicken, fish & steak) while the other have the same exact workouts but just drink protein shakes and weight gainers. I would kinda feel bad for the guys sucking down the shakes all day, man can you imagine the shits you'd get? Uggggh

a rule of thumb is 1gm protein for every pound of body weight. just a rule of thumb mates, don't get excited about only calculating lbm, etc.

if you are already doing this, then maybe no need for protein shake, except maybe PWO.

i think you have covered the basics of supplementation mate!

    Good luck

Like the other guys have said eat as much of your protein from real food and if a shake is in the mix don't sweat it. Just do it. To answer your question yes that's fine or cottage cheese would be fine as well.

no harm in shakes for a quick hit 1st thing in the morn or straight after training. its when they are used as a food replacement source that they're misunderstood.
