    Cut first or bulk first?

    I'm 5' 11 180lbs and about 19-20% body fat. I've never been big on diet and always just ate whatever I wanted too. Well I'm done and looking for something other than being skinny fat. Should I cut down to a lower bf percentage and then go on a bulking diet while staying under 15% during my bulk or should I just jump into a bulk now and cut it all down later?

    welcome.

    i think you should diet properly and continue in the gym until youre at least 15% before you consider aas use.

    Yeah I don't plan on touching any AAS for a couple years. I'm only 24 and no where near maxing out my genetic potential. I guess I'm just asking what your opinion is on bulking up while at a high bf percentage?

    Yeah I've been following all these logs for a while now. Just decided to make a profile. To be honest I cannot wait to use AAS but I'm not going to be stupid about it. I understand my diet is number one that's why I started a thread in this section.

    What's the best way to trim belly fat without thermogenics? I've read that Fish Oil and green tea extract will do the track. Anything else that you know of?

    determine your tdee, initiate caloric deficit, eat clean, and exercise. it really is that simple.

    whats up bro, sense you are already at 19, 20 BF% i would get lean first... high reps with weights.. and to lose that fat faster run on empty stomach first thing in the morning..

    Thanks for all the info guys I really appreciate it. And I'm in the Military so cardio first thing in the morning is a must. Which might suck later on when I actually do go through a bulking phase. I'm forced to run 5 days a week first thing in the morning.

    As stated - cut.
    In the future always cut first...it primes your body for the bulk. Makes a big difference.

    Haven't even looked at the other replies, so i'm sure i'm being redundant - but without question, cut. In fact, drop the word bulk from your vocabulary.
