    Your mulit-vitamin and why?

I started using the animal pack mv but the smell and taste at 0430 was not agreeing with me. So I went to GNC and the clerk sold me on their MM performance and vitality mv. I usually try to put a lot of effort into researching these things first but there seems to be way to many factors involved.

So I ask. What do you use and why?

Kirkland multivitamin from costco. Not expensive and it. Got good ratings compared to all others.

I do this but what I also do Is I buy a gummy multi vitamin. So throughout the day I will pop my variety of about 10 different ones I picked out. Then before bed I take a gummy just in case I have missed something. I always take my vitamins with a lot of food and water.

The truth is those vitamins aren't as necessary as they're selling and they have a whole laundry list of gimmicks to get you to buy them. Sure they're time-released and dosed higher than Centrum or One-a-Day, but they're also full of useless supplements and most of it just gets pissed out of you without helping you one bit. Your body only needs so much vitamins anyways and if you're eating right plus using a regular multivitamin, you're covered. It's definitely not worth the $75 for 60 days worth of vitamins those GNC vitapaks are.

I use two Flintstones (YES REALLY!!!) per day. They are loaded in everything that I need and easy for me to get down and absorb.
I've had problems with some in the past making me sick or upsetting my stomach.

They use ascorbic acid in Centrum and call it vitamin C, but it isn't. Same issue, ascorbic acid is a single element and it ends up extracting the co-factors from your body to make an attempt to complete the complex as found in nature. Ascorbic Acid won't even cure scurvy. It also depletes your body of calcium. GNC, Centrum, Puritan Pride, are all the same garbage. If you ask them to give you a professional lab test that shows how much of the garbage is digested when you take them, they won't do that and would be ashamed to see how much just does not get into your body.

I use Controlled labs orange triads. They make me feel great, I recently ran out and my site I order from was out of stock so I order Animal Pak.
There is way to many pills here and I started to lose energy compared to using OT. I have also read great reviews about Anivite but not enough to make me switch.

Anyways I would say Orange Triad or Anivite

Ascorbic Acid is a vitamer of Vitamin C. And The GNC vitamins have vitamin C in the form of Ascorbic Acid and Calcium Ascorbate.

And yes it's true that vitamin C has been proven to regulate the excretion of calcium, but that effect is short term. And who are you going to ask for a professional lab test? The sales associate at GNC? They jock a fvcking register at $8 an hour. They aren't trained to nor do they care about having those lab results on hand. They just parrot a sales pitch and that's it.

    MyProtein - Alpha Men.

Along side this I take a vitaminC tablet from ASDA, cod liver oil and a couple green tea capsules. I havent really looked into the multivit too much, it has big numbers on the side to impress me. Everything seems to be 500%+ of my RDA.

Ignorance is bliss, im probably pissing my money down the toilet, literally in this case!

Did it make you want to buy creatine for other people in the thread too? I want to give that Con-Cret a try.

I have been using AST multipro 32x with good results. (I gained 10 pds of lean mass... JOKE)

I usually get my supps ( Gold standard Whey, Carbogain, Creatine Mono) from the vitamin shoppe since they are on the way to the gym and offer pretty good prices and selection. So while looking at the multis they have available, I noticed that the 32x compares well with the others they have in cost and ingredients all except for one thing. The others you need to take either 2 or 3 capsules or pills per day to achieve the same dosage as you get with one caplet of 32x this makes the overall cost either half as much or a third as much as the competition for apporoximatly the same amount of vitamins from the same sources.

To me this makes it a simple decision 32x for the win.

One thing I would caution against is going with really cheap grocery store vitamins, many use cheaper sources to get the vitamins and for some these can cause headaches and increases in toxicity ( I have HepC so I have to be careful with whatever I injest...not being able to do orals is the worst part LOL)

Austinites AVI cracks me up, all these newbies come aboard and compliment him on his abs LOL

I've been grinding my Animal Pak vitamins in my protein shake blender. I don't taste a thing with chocolate. Sometime alittle gritty if I don't blend well enough but better than swallowing horse pills. The only way I remember that I took them is when I go pee and its bright yellow lol

Fvck Animal Paks. You should only be using GNC Vitapaks. Help the clerk make their P3 quota.

Riptorn first of all i want to suggest you not to purchase anything from gnc. You can find the same products much cheaper online. Try powerbody for example. I have tried animal pack my self and i totally agree with you. Have a look at VITABOLIC from nutrabolics they are awesome. Nutrabolics bases its products 100% on fruits and vegetables which are essentials that are missing from our diets these days. They are strong as well. Hope that helps.

I like anavite by Gaspari. Has Beta Alanine in it, along with all the other vitamins. if i didnt take it, orange triad would probably be my #2

I took Puritans Pride for a long time... my hair and fingernails grew out very quick with these vs. some other OTC's I have used in the past. Recently I bought the Opti-men, but it was 3 pills and though the PP are the greatest tasting... an extra 1 big vitamin is to much for my stomach some mornings. I actually just ran out and since there are some good reviews for the OT's, maybe i'll give them a shot.

When it comes to vitamins the best thing to do is spread out your intake of water-soluble vitamins (B complex and C). Your body can only absorb a small amount of those vitamins and the rest gets excreted in your urine. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) can pretty much be taken in whatever dose and whenever you want because (if needed) they will be stored in fat cells in your body. Excessive supplementation of these vitamins can eventually lead to excretion of them and/or adverse side effects due to toxic levels (extremely uncommon).
