#1 would have to be the giant douche that is doing bicep curls in the squat rack, while your waiting to do squats....
The guy whos screaming heaps loud during his standing curls but is swinging back big time!!!!
People that come to the gym just to socialize with others and hold up the equipment.
Haha where does this happen? i'v never seen it.Originally Posted by kronik420

Watched two guys at tricep pull down area. Needed that machine for my workout. They were doing the same excersise from the moment I walked in till 45 mins later when I was leaving.
Also my gym has recently tried to make more money by offering crossfit training. But not in a class room. They do it right in the middle of where ever they have space. 6 trainees and the trainer.
The manic guy! The guy that doesn't follow any set routine, jumping from one thing to the next at a flat out pace, and throwing weights about rather than lifting and he always seems to be near to where you want to be.
The PT's that I overhear spouting incorrect broscience BS to their clients who are paying them good money!
These are usually the ones whom still have spots and there mum is wiping their ass lolOriginally Posted by SteM
If you got beef then bring the ruckus...
"Can i jump in?" Typically, if a guy is about the same size as me i'll tell them to go ahead. But recently we've had a wave of newbies join. Well one older guy came over to the Hammer Incline and asks "can i jump in?" I knew this was trouble but i said, go ahead anyway. He stripped damn near every weight off the machine, did like 8-10 reps, gets up and walks away without replacing the weight. I was so mad i couldn't even talk. I just stood there and stared at him as he went to the Bench. I waited...He never even looked back and continued w/his presses. So from now on, the answer is NO. So much for being a nice guy.
This!!! I fvcking hate these douche bags. Got a couple at my gym. Yesterday I saw one of the PTs take his client to the cable crossover machine. Ours has movable pulleys, with 45 height pins. Well, he made his client do a set of 10 flys at EVERY pin height. So it basically ranged from pin1(bottom) as incline flys to pin45(top) decline flys. That's 450 reps. Poor ****ing must be crying today.Originally Posted by SteM

So theres this guy that rolls in the gym about the same time I am finishing up and he is wearing spandex shorts (like vball spanks) and he has a zip-up hoodie on with the sleeves cut off and the hood over his head. It was funny as hell to see all of the people around me nudging their workout partners asking eachother like "who the fvck is this guy?" Gelled hair, tribal tattoos, tan as **** and wearing volleyball spanks and then took off his hoodie to reveal a tight tank top similar to what my girl wears. This dude was by far the biggest bag I've ever seen at any gym.

Last weekend I was at the gym and I see this dude rolling around with a fvcking gas mask on. I was getting ready to grab my shit and get out of there but the dude was huge and was just training like it was nothing out of the regular. I figured it had something to do with mimicking high-altitude training but it was really weird. So luckily... no anthrax or anything going on there, just wanting to work the lungs and diaphragm apparently. Anybody else do this or seen people doing this?
I know a lot of MMA fighters use these gas masks to increase intensity of workouts and Cardiovascular ability. It apparently makes the lungs more efficient, but I haven't read actual proof on that. I think they're branded as 'Elevations Masks' - but there probably is a lot of alternatives. It would be weird though to see some guy roll up for a weight session in one.
Saw something new the other day. My gym has two squat racks next to each other. There were two guys doing some kind of cardio routine including jumping jacks and 5 lbs dumbbells, blocking BOTH squat racks. They were there for about 15 mins. I know they wanted the mirrors, but this is a big gym and there are literally entire rooms dedicated for stupid sh!t like that.
No mate, these are people old enough to know better, that's the problem!Originally Posted by milky01623

I hate the groups of 3-6 teenage boys that sit on the bench and text message while they see me standing there waiting.
I love being pretty much the biggest guy in the gym...seems like everyone is just finishing their last set everytime I ask how many more they have![]()
Altitude mask training is very common among MMA fighters and long distance athletes. A few guys at my gym do their crossfit workouts with one of those on and a weighted vest. Crazy guys haha.Originally Posted by JWP806

The worst for me was some guy that weighed about 60 lbs. less than me and 2x the body fat tried to give me pointers! Lol...
He was curling 30 lb. dumbells and I was doing hammer curls with my 70 lb. dumbells and he said too me you are not supposed to hold the weight sideways! I literally started laughing and sarcastically asked the guy for some more pointers... And he started giving me some other stupid pointers! Lolololol, then with a dead serious face I said to him " I hope I can get as big and strong as you one day" lol... Then he finally got it and left me alone!
I use one most workouts.

So there are a number of annoying things in the gym. No racking weights, curls in the squat rack, sh!tty form, loud grunts, etc. I can look past most of that the one thing that makes me see red is the asshat that ties up multiple pieces of equipment doing "circuit training" especially when I can finish half my workout in the time it takes them to do one circuit.

Last night i waited ten minutes for the leg press. Relised the guy was just playing a game on his phone. Was not happy
IT WASNT ME! lol
Lol thats not what pisses you off quite the opposite, so your saying nothing annoys you because your always in the gym by yourself?Originally Posted by Lunk1
