    Stretch marks?

I'm still developing stretch marks while cutting. I know the are not from the skin actually stretching or anything, but.. shouldn't they stop while cutting?

Also, as far as my diet goes, it has slown down weight loss wise, should I recalculate my TDEE and readjust calories+deficit for that?

Stretch marks are readily caused by hormonal changes not just growth/stretching of skin or underlying tissue.

Well bulking in theory would cause more hormonal changes... (lifting more, eating more etc.)
Shouldn't cutting have stopped them or at least majorly slowed? I don't see people who don't lift have them?

There are several factors affecting stretch marks and rapidly stretching/growing skin is only one of them. Dermatology is not my professional expertise but what I do know of stretch marks is the following:

    1. Some people are more prone than others
    2. Corticosteroids taken orally, topically, or those produced by your adrenals (glucocorticoids) will increase the risk of steroids
    3. Loss of collagen and elastin as well as inflammation caused by rapid growth or microtrauma (as in weight lifting) increase stretch marks
    4. Loss of melanocytes (cells responsible for skin pigmentation)
    5. Some people claim poor nutrition can contribute to risks as well.

You haven't seen people who don't lift have them??????

About 80-90% of pregnant women and young men and women going through puberty develop stretch marks - as do some obese people.

Some guys just don't get them. I went from 150-200lbs in under 3 yrs. Never a single mark.

Well, lots probably do have them, I will say that 'Generally'' a non weight-lifter will probable develop them on thighs before his armpit area. I say that because I had, and got 10 times worse since working out all over thighs/butt etc... But growing up I thought it was from a growth spurt. ''Stretch Marks'' is a very deceiving word to describe them.

Would the stretch marks mean I have high testosterone? Sorry if that sounds dumb:P

And to the others, If I could give you some I would Especially the ones on my biceps/lats

More often it has to do with hormones released by your adrenal glands and collagen breakdown. If it was testosterone alone, than most steroid users would have them. My testosterone tested above 3000 today, so if testosterone was responsible, you'd think it be one big stretch mark! Lol

Most common areas for people that get them from lifting are arm pits around the lateral pecs and sometimes the back. Occasionally they may develop around the biceps but these areas are by no means the only ones. Just the more common ones.
