To lose or loose! Get it right dammit! :)

this has become an epidemic on this site and it drives me up the fVcking wall! what is wrong with u people?? here's a little lesson for all u grammatically challenged people on here:

    Loose vs Lose
The words loose and lose are mixed up in writing; for some reason, many people write loose when they really mean lose. But there's no reason to lose your mind worrying about this, just lose the extra o!

    Loose

Loose is an adjective, the opposite of tight or contained.

    My shoes are loose

    I have a loose tooth

There's a dog running loose in the street

    Lose

Lose is a verb that means to suffer the loss of, to miss.

I want to LOSE some body fat.

    Don't lose your keys

    I never lose bets

    The Bottom Line

Simple carelessness leads people to write loose when they mean lose. Just remember that lose has one o, and loose has two. Start with loose, lose an o, and what do you get? Lose!

now lets get this right and not let it happen anymore dammit! u can do it!

Mate, if this is the only mix up on this site that grinds your gears I'd be surprised.

It's full of terrible grammar and even worse spelling. Even in thread titles the spelling is truly atrocious!

Let of some steam, hit a bag, have a pint, have a wank. You funny guy!

405, you're missing a bunch of capital letters in your original post. That would put you in the grammatically challenged people category. Just saying.

I couldn't care less about upper case letters. But when there's a squiggly red line underneath the word you just typed...correct the damn thing! It only takes second, sheesh..

    1. All lower case letters is deliberate and due to laziness.

    2. Technically not capitalizing letters falls under punctuation.

    3. It requires more effort to use the wrong word (loose) for lose as it requires an additional letter (o).

    4. If it bothers u i suggest starting ur own thread on the mAtter.

Haha that should do it! lol

And yeah, punctuation is generally not important when communicating on the internet. BUT, grammar is! If you want people to take you seriously. Dont be lazy, correct your words with spell check.

Austinite and I have had a few laughs about grammar and spelling mistakes, but the one word that I see occasionally misused is "irregardless", which isn't actually a proper word (its irrespective or regardless)

I haven't seen too many people complain of water retention although when it happens I see it more often in women. The more common syndromes are typically insomnia, fatigue, xerstomia (cotton mouth), diarrhea, abdominal cramping, headaches, nervousness. In all the times I have written a Rx I've only had two patients complain of extrapyramidal effects but it is generally very rare unless there is a hypersensitivity to the drug or its metabolizes.

Are you concerned about water retention or effects on appetite 405?
