    Pip

Shoot... I was on my phone and hit the wrong thread earlier but here's the deal...So my first inject ever was of test c last wk..in my delt..some pretty bad pain but really not terrible. Lasted about 5 days. My second was 2 days ago.in my quad. I think my lain was bc I ended up having to pin 3 diff times all within a spot the size of a quarter on my quad. Bc the first one I got a little blood when I aspirated. Second the plunger wouldn't move. And third the plunged would barely move but I got it just took a bout a min and. a half. Yes I ran it under hot water in the syringe and yes I changed the needle out each time. I still can barely walk. It's so swollen and tight that I can't even flex my quad. No muscular definition from the swelling. Hard to sit down and to walk or put a bunch of weight on. Normal?

Could be irritated muscle. Could be infected. If it doesn't go away after 5 days see a doc. Try to keep your hand steady when pinning or you will irritate the muscle too much and it will react.

All of it. and No, these symptoms would not last 2 weeks if it's just the muscle irritated.

You state that you have pain, swelling, injection site is hot to touch and redness. How much is it swollen? Are red streaks running from injection site and/or is it oozing pus? Are you running temperature? Sounds like injection sites infected. You can help reduce you pain with cold therapy it’s the best immediate treatment to reduce swelling and pain. Wrap ice in a thin towel and place it on the affected area for 10 minutes at a time. Allow the skin temperature to return to normal before icing a second or third time. You can ice an acute injury several times a day for up to three days. You also should take Tylenol it will help with pain and keep your temperature WNL. I would get in to see doctor ASAP.

No its just a red area. No streaks. Just looks like what someone's back looks like after scratching it. No oozing or puss at all. And only hurts if I'm on it...sounds more like muscle irritation if its when the muscle is being used/contracted right? If i would go to the doc what would I say tho?

The fact I jabbed 3 times in the same area would seem to me to cause some serious pain. Would be quite the coincidence if i got infected om top of that right??? Seems to be muscle to me but I just thought is see what everyone's thoughts were. I injected Friday around supper..if its not gone by thursday at that time i will try to get in to doc fri

Use a sharpie and draw a red line where the red stops. Keep your eye on it. If the red spreads past the sharpie line you have an infection sir.

I have seen lots of people receive IM injections in same site. It becomes redden but it’s not hot to touch. Also it hurts and might be bruised because of multiple injections but pain decreases and goes away. If it’s an infection the pain will increase.

New injection sites will always hurt. Sounds like you had the muscle contracted tight while trying to inject. Couldn't think of a reason why else the plunger wouldn't move. If your only injecting twice a week why not do glutes? Very few blood vessels and nerve endings. I always have issues with quads and I've been pinning them for years. As long as your not pinning every day glutes are best. If your using under 3 ml (which you should be) delts would be fine as an alternate site. I guess no one has asked yet. What gauge needle are you using? Too big and it will damage the area, too small and the plunger won't move or you can inject too fast and actually damage the the area by high powered narrow stream. Also, inject VERY slowly. On big shots like 5+ ml it may take me as long as 3-4 minutes. Slower is definitely better.

When I did my quad for the first time I had no pain or swelling at the injection site itself but pain below the site down to the knee and some swelling to the side. It lasted about 5 days and was extremely sore if I knelt down fully. Nothing untoward just virgin muscle. I did pin about 2 hours after my leg session which I will never do again.

I use an 18x1" to draw and a 25x1" to pin. It was my first time on my own so I feel like I mighta just been too nervous and tense to where I moved it around to much or was tensed up. Woke up this morning and pain definitely is NOT worse. If anything its a good deal better. But how do u inject your glute yourself? And also, should I inject today then or not? It's my scheduled day? I do Mon nights Friday mornings. And idk if this would make a difference but when I got the gear I had to do the coffee pot method and heat it up because it froze and crashed on the way to me in the cold.. then the next day they still weren't perfect and had some crystals come back so I had to boil the vials (test cyp) for like 20 minutes. They are all good now and I've checked then every day and its good as new now.

Injected tonight in opposite quad still has zero pain. But I think I did it perfect bc there was no blood when I pulled out the needle. Also my bad wisest pain came back today while walking and being at the gym. Not able to train legs still as it is tight as ****! Redness is still there and swelling and pretty warm. I would rather not see a doctor bc idk what I would tell him.

What do you mean fool proof?

Had a lump the size of a walnut in my glute from moving the syringe around injecting Test Prop. Couldn't keep it steady with the size of my white boy squat ass...

Heat pads and hot showers made it go away. Inject at least 10-15 seconds per mL to reduce pip

The needles are OK. 18g is a little big if your using 20 ml vials. Tends to chew the stopper up too much. 10 ml should be fine. If the gear is clear it should be OK now. Inject your glutes high up on the belt line on the outside. about 7-8 O'Clock or 4-5 on the other side. I use a stand up mirror to see better what I'm doing.
