    This Creatine of mine...

I was mixing a glass of creatine the other night and my girlfriend heard me mention that I was running out.

She came home yesterday with a tub of this blend I've never heard of. I normally just use the monohydrate from GNC and eat a fruit to go with it for absorption. I'm pretty interested in it because it looks like a post-workout mixed WITH creatine. Don't really know what to think about it. I tried a glass today after my workout and it tastes a hell of a lot better than my tub, I'd like to use it.

What do you guys think about it? I really don't want to return it and make her feel bad. It uses a proprietary blend, but it at least says on the container that there's 5g of monohydrate. Should I use this and just go back to my mono when this runs out, or return this and get a new tub?

It's called Six Star Pro Nutrition Creatine X3 Elite Series

You'll survive it. Then go back to your original.

It's basically like Cell Tech and all those other creatine supps with a bunch of added glucose to create that post-workout insulin spike.
It should work fine if you're bulking (drink it immediately post-workout, then follow it up with a meal 30 minutes later), but I'd avoid it if counting carbs or cutting.

Just use it, and buy more if you like it and aren't concerned about the extra sugar.

Keep the girl happy... Use it up, then go back to a pure monohydrate and take 5g a day

Thanks everyone. I figured the sugar was partly for taste and partly because you're supposed to take something sweet with creatine. I like it, and I like her, so I guess I'll run it until it runs out and then tell her that she doesn't have to worry about buying my supplements.
