Finally started TRT this week

I've been reading the forum for a long time and have learned quite a bit here. There is a great support/educational group!
I initially came here thinking I just needed to run a cycle to snap my workouts and energy back. After learning a lot here, I found TRT is the best option. Not ruling out a cycle later, but not in a hurry at this point. I injected myself with the HCG and my wife did the test in my glute. Apparently she hit a vein and said it bled a bit and I have a bruise there. Quite sore as well. My next pin will be on Saturday morning. Not real excited about needles in muscle. I've read about people having success with SubQ. Do you suggest this?

sub q is painless and as effective.

There are members here that have done SQ only.

It works well with dosing a couple times a week because the amount needs to be small for SQ, .6mL or less I think is the suggested limit so you don't get too big of an injection lump.

At least one member uses the same syringe to split his dose into two SQ injections so he's not putting too much in one spot. So a guy could inject once a week if he wanted to do that.

SubQ is great. Easier to self administer and absorption is good. Talk to doctor about switching to Subq and just use your symptoms and gauge how you feel in choosing the best method fo you. its not 1 size fits all and men can respond differently to varying admin tech.

I pin twice a week using 5/8" 26 gauge and .45 ML per injection with no problems. There is a lot of evidence that SubQ works. I am sticking with glut injections (easy).

BTW, I also will get blood about 25% of the time even with a 5/8". It has never caused an issue. I do inject slow and steady which seems to help A LOT.

You got that right! There are actually several doctors on this forum that are well versed in HRT/TRT and that is an amazing thing plus all the other members that are living a TRT life.

Tried my second pin myself today with a 28g slin pin and it went smooth...mostly. I did not go subq, but went IM in my thigh. I have almost not fat in my legs with good musculature (genetic gift) so it was easy. I will try subq after I speak to my DR as Low T Mike suggested. I did move the needle around a bit to get in position to push the plunger, so I am a little sore from that, otherwise it all good. Hope this is worth it.

im pretty sure all 28 g needles are sub q but i could be wrong.

True Powerlifty they are designed for Subq usage. Primarily in the belly area or fatty area. If you have low BF in areas such as your thighs, you are getting into the muscle. I definately hit muscle and now its a little sore because I moved it around a lot. I'm not to good at it yet. Guess I will get lots of practice. I use the slin pins for the HCG injection in the belly and it is stupid easy....even for a noob like me,

I do 75% Delt pins and use both 5/8 25 gauger that I load wth a 21 gauged and a 29 gauged 1/2 inch pin also in the Delt the 1/2 inch I push hard against the muscle to get it as deep into the muscle as possible

Over 90% of posters in that tread also didn't give sub-Q adequate time to make a fair comparison. My blood levels continued to rise for over 10 weeks injecting sub-Q, in which it seems to take much longer to saturate than IM.

Now if we did a controlled study of adequate time frame, I think sub-Q will provide the exact same results if not better. People just don't have the patience unfortunately :-/

Question - did your doc show you how to inject? I've been using 23G 1.5" or 25G 1.5" needles into my quads and glutes and have had no issues. I will occasionally get a drop of blood on my left quad when I pull out, but it has never been as difficult as you describe.

lol that is not funny but it is ! From what I have seen under trained Dr. who attempt TRT always script larger "SPEARS" than needed I have 4 boxes of 100 different ml syringes and 4 different sizes pins 22 gauged pins 1.5 inch to draw with and 25 gauged 5/8 to pin certain areas with and even a 27 gauged 1/2 inch for delts and 29 gauged 1/2 inch for HCG HGH and Peptides ! They are dirt cheap on the AL GORE Internet removable pins for $1.00 more than the slin 29 gauged 1/2 . I don't think we are supposed to post prices or vendors on open forum so if you pm me I will tell you where you can get 4 boxes for less than . . . way less than $100.00 .

Oh and I have yet to find a Dr. who knows where my thin skin is and where to pin you are your best judge on that but for sub-Q you DO NOT pinch and pin as some ppl do ! Go look at several youtube pod cast and do it the way you see the most educated appearing ppl doing it and don't assume all the Dr. are the smart ones to listen to the pros on this forum are smarter than your average MD or GP attempting to help you with TRT ? They are practicing medicine ! Go on the internet and research and form your on educated opinion ! Your own health and well being is your responsibility and a blood gyser everyother time is not doing it the correct way IMHO !

Hey don't get me wrong Sub-Q would be the ticket for me if it worked !

But if I read you post correctly it seemed as though you stated you pined Sub-Q for 10 weeks and your T levels rose every week . I do not dispute that is possible but all ppl are different and I did Sub-Q for 9 weeks and dropped almost 100 points in my free Test ?

So for me and the other 90% IM is the way to go !

Why well it doesn't take time to adjust to maxium saturation and 10 + weeks of the golden liquid for a trial is rather pricey not to mentioned it is rationed like it was herion ! I can;t afford to test / trial a pin method for 9 weeks only to see my levels drop 100 points !

Not to mention IM is tried and proven works like it should in 2 weeks and maxium saturation I do agree with you Sub-Q does work for some ppl but for a new TRT dude who doesn't even understand halflife and what compound does what he is best served to use a quality TRT Dr. and this guy is from GA and my experience is there are far and few betwee Dr. that know what they are ding and few that even know how to read BW all they know is Colonasposty and Dibeic treatment My Dr. scripted me anastrozonolat 1 mg per day for 60 ays can you imagine wher I would be on that dose ? So tried and proven for a beginner and in an area in a 20 year time warp where the Dr. scrips TRT the same as cancer pacitients >

Unless he is going to a High end clinic and they are 6K in GA and the only one remotly close to lowtestosterone.com is $1000.00 higher and $660.00 up front to start so not a good group of specialist IMHO just money grabbers and legal Juice to the tune of what ever you request in minor doseages not 600 mg a week but very possibly 400 mg a week and neds are extra and not compound druggest so high dollar !

Ok.....did the 4th pin today. I have rotated glutes and quads and am back using the 1.5 pin in the Glute. I think I was sore because the slin pin did not go deep enough in my quad. Feels ok right now, but it usually get sore the next day.

In any case I am starting to feel kinda groovy. You never know just how crappy you felt until you begin to feel "normal" again.

that's the best news spin doctor! i have commented several times on my good fortune with SQ, last 4 blood tests confirm no drop at all in free T. would suggest experimenting with at some time in your journey, probably best to get dialed in with your current protocol and as many have stated only very carefully start tweaking one variable at a time, good luck! great that you are feeling better
