    Liquid lost in syringe....How to get around this?

    I've be using b12 injections for the past few weeks, and I must say, I feel a lot better and look forward to them. My major concern is that I always end up with a little bit left over after i draw back to the 1ml mark and inject. This is becoming more bothersome as I'm not getting an actual dose of 1ml. I'm realistically getting 80% of it.

    Are there any pointers on how to avoid this so I can see no liquid left over after full injection?
    This will also help prep me for trt as this would be considered a major loss and no pharmacy will refill my script based on this.

    Any help from veterans in detailed explanations would be most beneficial to me and I'm sure countless others who experience this loss after drawing and injecting...

    Leave a small air bubble in the barrel and inject it.

    He's saying to just leave an air bubble in the syringe between the plunger and the liquid. The bubble will push more of the fluid out

    Leave air bubble in syringe like mentioned or get 1ml syringes with an attached tip labeled as "zero dead space".

    I was looking for 1ml syringes but I can't find them anywhere...

    Minimum to maximum ? Not sure what you mean. Just leave as much as you have left behind there in that image. the air will force the rest out.

    hold on....austinite, so youre saying that the image i have above i could inject safely? i could literally take that and inject it with all that air?

    Why are you scared of air? It will be absorbed by plasma. It would take over 100 CC IV to kill you.

    ive just never done it with air... i will take your expert advice on this then...
    does it matter if the bubble sits at the end of the syringe with the liquid towards the front? or can the bubble be upfront and liquid behind it?

    If you inject the bubble first, there will be no more air to push the B12 out.

    Take a used syringe and put some water from your faucet in the syringe with some air and work with it plunging it into the sink. tip it up. tip it down. blah blah blah.

    Might want to take the pin off first.

    It's not like the movies where the tiniest air bubble will kill you. Doctor told me the same thing about air being injected when doing trt or hcg. He said it would easily be absorbed, I am also a believer in every little thing that I have learned to be true in the movies so I questioned him also.

    Very good advice above IMO, no reason to waste something that you went through the expense and trouble to get. Good luck.

    Good call on the movie BS. A little air bubble isn't going to cause instant death. At work when we're in a hurry working a PT we push a few different IV drugs, we don't always get every bit of air out. The sink practice is a good idea
