srs?
im asking this coz so many ppl are against protein shakes. they say eat real food, now im asking about real food, i get this.
No, it wasn't serious. But the question is a bit broad, hell911. Bulking cheap is easy, but you'll end up eating a ton of processed foods and turn into a balloon.
Just try to purchase your items in bulk. Big bags of rice, bulk chicken, etc.. Your bill might seem a bit high but it will save you money in the long run.
Check this out...

I buy my oatmeal in 25lbs bag.
I buy my rice in 5kg
I buy my chicken in 4kg format
Simply buy in bulk, Rice/oatmeal is cheap and rich in good calories.
Get some horse meat(where I live it's cheaper than hatched beef)
I eat plenty of oatmeal I pass a 25pounds in 3 weeks or so.
It is IMO a easy way to bulk. Clean carbs, very high in calories, very cheap(in bulk quantity), plenty of protein and fiber in it. Full of gluten(unfortunately)
do not taste really good so I put some protein powder in it. Gives a chocolate taste(really good).
Where do you live to get horse meat?
Another cheaper dinner my friends and I eat(I eat it cause im lazy sometimes)
Can of tuna and a can of beans. Pinto or black beans.... Cost about 1.50 or so for both(from Walmart) about 500 calories, good amount of protein, fiber, carbs as well.
Costco or Sam's Club, buy in bulk, great deals!
Muscle juice!!!!
rice is cheap, oats are cheap, ground beef is cheap, ground turkey is cheap, peanut butter is cheap, tuna is cheap, shakes are cheap......
I buy everything in bulk like these guys already said. Typically have 10 to 20 pounds of chicken in the freezer at all times![]()
I think everybody pretty much nailed it and said it well. If you can't use those suggestions then you might as well give it up.
In reference to your meat see your butcher n strike a deal wiv em. If u buy ,fifty squids worth at a time you'll get English chicken breast with NO ADDED WATER OR SODIUM. At under 5 pound a kilo. I pay 4.75. N I basically have a tab I run. So my meats cheap. Fresh. And unfrozen. Bloody amazing. And well worth looking into even in the us. In this market sellers know they need to do deals to get the business. Buying bulk and up front secures them increased turn over. And you'll be supporting your local independent business too. Everybody's a winner!

Cheapest? Tuna and rice
Canned fish, eggs, buying whole chicken (and the icky bits like hearts that most people dont want to eat haha)
^
so whey protein supplement considered as a "cheap way"?
isnt it all food products and no supplements?
I guess this all depends. Buy in bulk, discovering the internet for the best deal on whey, use coupons, only buy things on sale and so on....
Thanks

im sure i can't get 12 eggs for .99 cents in Toronto, and the tax in food here is high.
also, i noticed that these guys dont mention "calories", they always say protein, carbs, and fat.. but no calories..
