    Glute dripping blood post injection

I just pinned myself in my left glut, i checked to make sure no blood was in the syringe, none, then I injected. I did however move the needle around a little,(hitting the glut while looking in a mirror is tough). After I took the pin out, a reasonably small flow of blood was running down my leg from the injection site. Blood really doesn't make me squeamish so I could keep in perspective that it really wasn't that much. I just want to make sure the test is securly locked into the muscle, and that none ran out with the blood, because that would really suck!

The blood will look a little oily if any test came out. If any test did come out, it wasn't enough to make what you injected ineffective.

Next time leave the pin in for 30 secs after injecting to make sure all the oil is in, then withdraw the pin. Also, as soon as you withdraw pressure the site with a tissue or cotton ball so it stops the bleeding and prevents anything else from oozing out.

i just pull the needle out and put my finger over the hole right away and apply pressure, with a little massaging. blood coming out probably happens with me 20% of the time. no biggie

and it will happen again, and probably sooner than later. trust me!

I used to put bandages over the hole in the beginning, but not anymore. no matter what bleeding stops after you apply some pressure for a second or two, and avoiding the bandage eliminates one step.....

Ahhhh newbies. Gotta love their pin-virginity! Just wait until they pull the needle out and get a blood gusher on the wall. Fun times!

Cotton ball. Hold on injection site for 30 seconds. Your good to go! No band aid needed!
