(SHBG) Sex hormone binding globulin :Bloodwork/ Does this tell me anything

Got my bloodwork back but not exactly sure what this is telling me

    On a test/Var cycle

    9 nmol/L reference range = (13-71)

Do you want this number to be high or want it low ?

    thanks

SHBG is a glyco-protein that transports test and estrogen. Mid range is best. Too high and it's binding to much T, to low can indicate a host of issues. Right now your on cycle so your shbg is probably lower than it normally would be as added test suppresses it. Do you know where it runs off cycle? If your running an AI like I would assume and your E is a tad low this will lower it as well.

No I don't know where it runs of cycle.. I have only really started getting into the blood work.

Wish I did earlier I find it very interesting and yes, you guys are right. I wish I had got my bloods done before cycle...

Anyway I'm going to be a regular with bloods from now on
