Low Testosterone Testing and Doctor Question

I read KelKel's thread about finding a HRT doctor as well as recommended lab work. I have great medical coverage. Is this covered by a insurance plan or is this like cosmetic surgery? Second question: Are there doctors who specialize in this field or do I need to school and guide my doctor through this process? Any guidance on this topic is greatly appreciated. I see my primary care doc next week.

Insurance will cover, but some have minimum numbers they will treat and they may try to treat with gel or patches. Your dr may help or may send you to a specialist.
