Low T - Hormone questions

Hello all, I have never used Testosterone, only a few natural test boosters. I figured this was my best source of secondary information other than my Urologist. I have been suffering the effects of Low t for sometime. The first time I noticed it, I was 20 and tested at 347. Fast foward 9 years with no treatment and my last testosterone test came back at 248. I am having erectile problems, memory, mental clarity, chronic fatigue, libido... ect. I workout 4 days a week and can't lose weight. Anyways, I will post my hormones and see if you guys can make sense of what is going on. My Urologist said he would prescribe Testosterone, however, it would shut me down and my wife and I are trying to have kids. I mentioned Clomid and he was on board with trying as long as I submit a Sperm test. Anyways any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks for any ideas, I suggested us trying to test my estrogen. He seemed as if this was a waste of time. I am having Testicular pain, ultrasound showed no problems and my prostate is normal. I've read that high levels of Estrogen can cause Testicular pain. Thank you in advanced.

you need to post ranges from that lab or the lab name where the blood work was done to better help answer your questions.

taking a few shots of test week shouldn't lower your sperm count that much. plus think about when your test levels are higher you and your wife will be having way more sex. I say start the shots and have your dr track your sperm count I don't think it will completely kill all your little soldiers.

Starting TRT will suppress your HPTA, which means testosterone and sperm manufacturing in your body will virtually stop.

Is TRT an effective birth control? No. But TRT is not conducive to having children.

Having said that, hCG will mimic LH and cause the boys to make some Testosterone and other hormones. And hMG (I believe) will mimic FSH, which will help with the swimmers. Best to ask your Urologist or fertility doctor about it.

Your LH is lowish, which means your boys are making less Testosterone. The pain could be from the boys atrophying, and hCG should help with that. It's a good idea to keep an eye on E2, but don't think it's the cause of your testicular pain in this case.

Have you run a full thyroid panel and cortisol by chance?
Any head or testical trauma in your past?
Have you had or considered an MRI to rule out pituitary issues?

It would be nice to find the root cause of your low T and correct it, especially at 29 years old. Know that most test boosters are suppressive of your natural testosterone level as well. I would urge you not to jump on test until all else is ruled out. At that point I would look into serms first to see if stimulation works to any extent.

You can still have kids on Trt, its less likely but possible. While you are on trt ask for Hcg, it will greatly help to have kids.

So do you think Clomid is a good treatment option with my hormone levels? I have found studies on pubmed showing significant improvement in testosterone levels while not shutting my testicles down. My Urologist already said no to HCG.

Clomid works for many people and is upwardly trending now in HRT. For a singular therapy I would choose clomid over HCG.
