    fat guy project

anyone out there wanna take on a fat guy project? joined years back i was almost 300lbs got down to 220lbs just from doing cardio 1x to 2x a day. wasnt really lifting weights much. So basically i went from a real fat guy to a skinny fat guy cause i didnt incorporate weights that much/ I think i really sold myself short not lifting the weights and could have got much better results if i had lifted. I ate 6 meals a day while on this journy id say i lost the weight in under a year time. Now here i am years later 40yrs old 6'2 270lbs and wanna make a huge transformation with myself. i know suggestions will be stop eating crap and get off your ass and move, i know i have to do this. what foods would one suggest? how much should i eat? cardio? weight training plan? any advice would be great im ready to go

    thanks Marty

    Welcome!

Do a favor and go read the cutting stickie. It will help get an idea of how to eat.

After reading thru it, post up a diet/eating plan, and we can guide you.

Also, if you really want to get some great tips on adding some muscle, go read Marcus's Diary in the lounge. You can see how the big boys workout and try to incorporate it into your schedule. Make sure you start at the beginning, so much great information in there!

At 270lb I doubt you need to calculate things that carefully in the beginning. You might want to look at LCHF or Paleo diet as many people have great success with those and at the same time incorporate a 3 day/week strength program. Once your fat decreases and you eventually stall you can look at things in more detail but, IMHO, being detailed in the beginning of the journey might do you a disservice as you will have enough to think about with training and eating clean.
