Can someone explain the new laws..................

.................that just kicked in regarding prescription drugs and the new restrictions? Went into a pharmacy the other day, and lines everywhere. Doc wants me to do a urine test for a drug I've been taking a while now. Also needs to have me sign this drug waiver to refer me to the pain management center.

Apparently, the government thinks it is cracking down on certain types of prescription drug abuse, and these are the side effects.

So what's up with this new law?

    Pill addicts all over panicking.
It's the way it should be. I know a person who gets Adderall prescribed to him. He does take them just sells them.
now will our insurance premiums go up or down because of the adds stuff?

They want to make sure you are actually the one using the prescription you are getting.

I have to do the same thing but it's only once every 3 months since it's through a pain management doctor also.

This crap drives me nuts. Like the DEA doesnt have enough money or resources already. That's the same bullsh*t they pulled with Pseudoephedrine by putting it behind the counter because the DEA started crying. Yeah, let's make things more difficult for law-abiding patient(s) that may need the meds. Typical liberal mind-set. You watch, I bet it's not long before Test Cyp for TRT becomes Schedule 2 also. That would give the FDA more control on it (with little effort) due to all the bad press lately...

That would also make the retail price go much higher in order to compensate for more red tape.

It is because the DEA . FDA, government and everyone else is finally realizing oxycodone (found in majority of pain killers), is equal to essentially heroin when prescribed or taken in large doses.. I.e OxyContin 40mg, 80mg, etc. , and kills thousands of people per year when abused.. If you crush these up and snort or inject you got yourself heroin in its cleanest form. But the deaths finally got the attention of FDA and DEA.

More control. I'm surprised that anyone here, of all places, would not be opposed to more government control over medications.

They really don't have any business telling people what they can and cannot put into their bodies, IMHO. I mean, you used to be able to buy Coca Cola with actual cocaine in it, for fvck sake. Society didn't collapse then. The useful idiots just keep voting away all of our freedom... SMH

That's a bunch of BS but then again when I think about it TR you have nothing to fear I mean just look at the war on drugs our government has been in since 1975. It has gone so well for them thus far hasn't it. yuk yuk yuk And then we have Iraq and then Afghanistan and then Vietnam and and and and and... Well you get the picture..
