    HCG Math

I seem to be using up my HCG faster than I expect so I just want to double check my mixing math.

I have 5,000 iu of HCG powder I mix it with 5 CC's of BAC water.

I remove .25 of a CC and that gives me a dose of 250iu's, correct?

    Thanks!!!

Sounds right. But I think you mean 250 iu NOT mg. But you're wasting an awful lot of bac water (and I honestly don't know how you fit that much into the vial). Just mix it with 2mL of water and 0.1mL (cc) will give you 250iu

Yeah, I couldn't remember if it was 250iu's or mg's.

I add one cc into the vial with powder then transfer it to a larger vial. Then add the other 4 cc's to the larger vial.

I prefer the .25ml mark because it's easier to distinguish on the syringe compared to .1ml.

    Thanks for responding!!

Would it be correct, with the current ratio, that I should get 20 doses of 250iu out of the mixture?

    Yes, 20 x 250 equals 5000 (ius).

Thanks!! I have to be more diligent with my measuring going forward. Gonna use an insulin syringe for better accuracy.
