steroids ruined my voice..help?

Hey everyone! Im a female vocalist. .but took steroids for only 2 months..decided I didn't like it so I stopped. My body went back to normal and everything was fine..except my voice. It sounds hoarse and cannot sing high tones like I used to since it cracks all the time. Is there anything I could do to make my voice better again? It sounds silly but maybe someone could help me. Hope to hear from yall soon

On serious note, voice changes in woman from steroid induced Virilization are typically permanent. 2 months is fairly rapid for that change to occur. What steroid and what dose did you take?

Sorry to hear this Kitty. That was a rapid onset. Hopefully time will heal.
Possible blood work to see if your hormones are where they belong. Maybe a bit of estrogen is needed?????

It doesnt look like she has posted in some time. Like a lot of newbies they come looking for a singular answer and when they get it or not they leave and dont return.

Have you tried steaming(breathing in hot steam/vapor form I believe) I've seen/heard of vocalist doing this but not sure how effective it is?! I actually saw Mariah Cary doing this lol. Just a thought(I'm Soo tone def -at least when I sing - I wouldn't know)....

My wife's voice has been affected from test in the past, and it was given to her by her doc. After about two-three weeks after stopping the injectable test her voice returned to normal. My understanding is the longer is stays horse the longer it takes to return usually. Good luck to Ya girl I am sure you will be ok.

Have you ever heard of a dealer being concerned with anyone health?
Obliviously the person only cares about the money. Have you talked to them since finding out more about it? I'm quite sure you are not the first woman they have sold it to and wont be the last unless either they wise up or someone stops them. If they dont care be sure to let anyone else know who you think might buy from them.

They are going to do serous harm to someone.
