Letrozole / trt and pelvic pain?

24 year old male on trt. Doc has had me on trt for more than a year. Been a good help for my energy. I am still overweight. Was almost obese when I started. Sucks saying that considering I use to be in terrific shape. Was 250 now am 217 and getting back to myself

Anyways ever since I added Letrozole for having high estrogen (1mg eod) I have been having pelvic pain/sensations that are very mild however noticble. My regular doctor addresses this a while back and thought it was just a strain. However the sensations are still around months later. Now I'm wondering if the Letrozole could be causing a issue.

I've had the ball feel test. Urinealysis. Blood work. Blood culture. All unrelated but only a few months ago.

Trying to get to the bottom of this.

    Should I switch to arimidex?
    Should I see a urologist?

    Thanks

Letrozole is for those who have really serious problem with gyno, it can even reverse, it is stronger than arimidex. There are also a lot of side affect with letrozone.

you should go with aromosin or arimidex and use only letrozole if you still getting gyno

Letro can not reverse gyno... Only SERMs can... & that's if you've caught it in time! No AI can reverse gyno, however it is always the best line of defense in preventing gyno from happening!

I'd see a doc - why did your trt dr put you on letro instead of Dex(anastrozole)??

I guess the way my blood work came
Back that's what he wanted to use. I asked about arimidex but he didn't want to use that. I go back to see him in a week. I'll let him know what's going on. I'd rather not stay on something so strong as letro. So I'll ask about switching.

Guess in the meantime I'll try and see a urologist as well

When my testosterone was really low and my LH was really low I felt like there was pressure on my perineum or it felt strained. It was painful at times. Signs of hypogonadism. Not saying it's what you have but sounds similar to what I was feeling at the time.

I do remember last time I went they mentioned my free test was very low even though I'm on trt. So maybe that could
    Be it to some degree?

It absolutely could be a major contributing factor. Often times clinicians only order a total testosterone, LH factor, and an FSH to determine any kind "Low T" disorder if symptoms are present. They really should be ordering those tests PLUS a free testosterone level, a Bioavailable Testosterone, and Sex Hormone Binding Globulin or SHBG test. This will give a clearer picture into what is really going on. Patients with hypogonadism or other disorders can present with normal range Total testosterone levels but still present symptoms of a disorder because their bioavailable testosterone/free testosterone is slim to none and their SHBG level is off the charts! I would definitely get with your doctor and have that looked at. Having too little free unbound testosterone will certainly cause you problems. Even though it only makes up about 2% of the total testosterone in your body, it's the "readily available" testosterone in your blood stream while the rest is in a reserve.

do a google search you will see that there are serious side affects with letrozole like damaged heard valves etc. There was even some law suite because of the side effects.

It is good and strong. I know guys who had serious gyno problems and arimidex was not working so they used letrozole and had it reversed.

I do not know the reason he prescribed letrozlole, it is not for everybody.

It should work this way if you have gyno problems use arimidex and keep letrozone just in case
