As the title says, I started adding L-Theanine to my pre workout. The feeling I get from it is awesome, Almost euphoric. I would recommend it to anyone. The best part is it's stupid cheap even at GNC 16 bucks for a couple hundred servings.

how much do you throw in there and how long before you start lifting after you take it?
I've found 500mg to be a nice dosage for me. According to some this is high. I try and take my pre 15 minutes prior.Originally Posted by InsaneMuscle
After reading this thread a couple weeks ago I went out and bought theanine. I didn't notice any real difference pre workout. I did however notice a difference while taking it mid day, etc. It kept me a lot more calm then I normally would be considering Im on tren with low carbs a couple weeks out from stepping on stage. So now I take it mid day and before bed and am happy with the purchase.
It worked for me. Took it in the mornings along with my coffee.
I stopped because after several weeks I noticed that my mind was too damn calm and not as sharp, fast, or witty.
