    Syringe/needle size

Planning my first real cycle. My fist one did not go so well. I will be following austinites recommendation for a first cycle to the letter. Including all of the recommended PCT etc....

My first cycle I researched the crap out of "how to inject" felt like I did everything right (possibly not a perfectly steady hand but other than that....) and I wound up barely able to walk let alone train for about 7 days after my fist injection. I was supposed to inject 250mg every 3.5 days but let it go 7 days because of the pain. Did the second injection in the other thigh on day 7, same thing. Barely able to walk and my training suffered severely. Basically lost almost 14 days of training. I bailed on the cycle right there. I used a 22ga 1.5" needle in the thigh.

My question is: Are there any drawbacks to using a 25ga 1" in the leg or preferably even an 8mm 30ga insulin needle in the shoulder or other area? I read an article by austinite where she says feel free to use smaller needles and perform subcutaneous injections.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
I have done hundreds of pins with 30g insulin needles (for peptides) and now with my test cyp cycle I have done a couple injections with a 23g. The insulin needles feel worse at the moment of injecting. The 23g I used for test cyp pierced my skin much easier. The post injection pain you are getting may be due to other factors, such as the oil used or the BA/BB content. Just my opinion on insulin needles... Also you might have a hard time finding long insulin needles to make sure you're going into the muscle.

I use the 25g 1" needles for everything. The key to no pain (PIP) is to inject... SLOWLY... I MEAN SLOWWWWWWWWW. Minimum 2-4 minutes to inject 1ML. GO SLOW. It made A HUGE difference for me.

Wow. Ok, that is slow. Cool, thank you, definitely will try that.

The PIP has more to do with your virgin muscles then the needle. I've pinned with both insulin needles and 23ga needles and they made no difference to my pin cushioned glutes. Rotate your sites. It's gonna hurt for a while until your muscles get used to getting stuck. Hang in there.

    Never had this problem

Inject slower and keep it steady so you don't tear more muscle fibres than needed

Inject in glute, not in quad for 1st cycle

    23G 1 1/4" all the way in.
I guess it could be the needle's brand. I get mine from 2 different pharmacies, whenever pharmacy A runs out of needles I go to B, and the needles from B hurts during injection and causes PIP.
Inject slowly, when I push/pull the needle out i will stretch my skin, just to reduce movements.

I draw with 18g needles and inject with 21g or 23g depending on what my wife has in her lab. I injected Winstrol a few times and had to use an 18g to do that as it was thick as ****. That was an interesting experience.

    Roger that! Thank you.

    Thanks,
I draw with an 18-22g(depending on availability)... then I switch out my draw pin to a 25g 1" - even being pretty lean I can get away with 1" in my glute but rather go with a 23g 1.5" spike.

As long as you don't go over .6ml on a subQ inj you'll be fine(no dote bumps etc) if you use a 1/2" slin pin or I use 5/8ths in my delts(plus if it's lower volume less than a CC then you'll be fine as some may go IM & some subQ - both ok!

How slow are you injecting? What's the concentration of your gear(Xmg/ml) If high concentration it's most likely virgin muscles and BA content imo... wouldn't be worth it to me to do a cycle and have to worry about each pin if it's going to effect your w/o's... try this - what ever you pin glutes etc hit that muscle to work it out - or delts are a better example pin em & work em the same day!

    I use 25g 1.5" for glutes and 25g 1" for everywhere else.
    I draw with a 20g.

Thank you. I am now realizing that I definitely injected too fast and what I used was too concentrated and advanced for me: Innovagen Test Supreme 500 500mg/ml. I will dial everything back. Thank you for your input! I may experiment with some low dose sub Q. I keep reading, researching and experimenting.

That's some strong concentrated test with loads of BA causing this major pip(& PITA)

Technique will improve... steady hands will come natural(hopefully) - Take 60sec per ml that'll help a lot

Btw - if you go subQ I'd start with a more conservative dose as its oil and not water.... it's said anything above .6ml at one time could leave very painful bumps/lumps and may take a much longer to go away and absorb(it's still debated if it's as good as IM injections - bw on here I've seen not much difference at all) between IM and subQ injections - nothing to be worried about

Op I do 80% of all my shots sub q now. I agree with NACH it was most likely the high concentration of test that caused the pip. Also just a heads up, even if you try to inject it sub q. It will probably burn like a bee sting for awhile. In my experience high concentration gear is not fun to use.

Thank you. Yes after a little further research (Thanks to your comments) I am fairly sure one of the contributing factors was me using too advanced of a test as well as too strong of a dosage. (Innovagen Test Supreme 500 500mg/ml)

Ok that makes sense. Any idea how many injections it may take? I am sure everyone is different but like 2? 15? Just a ballpark so I can brace myself mentally. LOL!

Cool. Roger that. Will definitely look for some lower concentrated gear. Thank you!
