So I do an emergency call last night and cut a tree off a power service line. I leave the debris and come back in the daylight to remove it. The landowner says I will be there to get you paid.
Tree gets loaded and I call him.
"Oh I will have to get you paid some other day, I am busy."
So I let him know I will not leave the property with the debris until I am paid.
"Oh well I am not used to doing things this way" he says.
So I explain...
"I will unload the debris and leave it in the yard and send you a bill for my wasted time. I can't believe you want three trees just laying in the yard like this."
He replies, "but you were only supposed to cut down the one tree"
Thats when I hang up...
My phone rings moments later, "I will be there at five to pay you."
A man can screw over a lot of people but never screw with a contractor you have hired. Its just a bad idea.
