Anybody had gear from overseas come through Chicago lately?

Curious how long it might have taken to clear customs. I have a package inbound from Phamacom that's been there for 10 days, which I know isn't long enough to panic over (even in better times) and I'm just curious if anyone has had gear pass through there since the coronapanic began.

Same thing happened to me with customs in chicago less than 2 months ago. Re ship came through nyc with no issues. Wonder if chicago checks a higher percentage of packages?

I’ve seen Chicago posted a couple of times over the last year as being the place where gear was seized

Had the same experience this week with Chicago. Order sat for a week before I got a letter of seizure in the mail.

Also had a Chicago seizure about a couple months ago. Order was re-sent and all was bueno. Something going on over there in Chicago causing orders to get seized.

chicago is the hardest customs/border patrol location to get products through. this information comes from watching and receiving hundreds of packages as a remailer for an international source. everyone talks about the west coast LA, and Frisco being hard to pass. everything i have seen if your pack lands in chicago you have about a 30% chance of receiving your package.

My replacement shipment arrived today, about 10 weeks after I apprised the vendor that the first package had been seized. Their packaging 'disguise' is fiendishly clever, and this one made it through customs in Chicago -- even had been opened for examination and was re-sealed with DHS tape -- but they didn't catch on.

But I won't be divulging what they've done because it only works so long as Customs doesn't catch on. Loose lips sink ships.

Chicago has been nicknamed the windy city not only because of the winds, but of it being well as the British say...in the original Italian Job film "bent" lol....lots of corruption since the days of Al Capone. Fmr. Pro bodybuilder, Robby Robinson recently informed me there was a big one in Chicago O'Hare airport i think; is somebody on the take? lol

Question. What happens when a package is seized? Do they just keep it and destroy it?
