Allowing To Pay To Advertise An Ad Blocker ???

I can't find any sense in what I saw just now on YouTube.

I was watching some random video, and of course one of those little annoying boxes came up and obstructed my view of the video I was watching. The little box that came up was advertising the "Ad Blocker" plugin that you can get Firefox and Chrome.

Seriously what's up with that? YouTube gets pretty much all its money from running paid ads, so why would they advertise an ad blocker ? ? ? ? ?

Yeah but surely somebody is going to install Ad Blocker and then use it to block ads from YouTube ???

Unless this Ad Blocker only blocks GIF's and pictures on text websites (and doesn't block YouTube video ads)

You used to be able to block ads on YouTube with third party browser extensions, but as far as I know, that’s no longer possible. I pay for YouTube premium, or whatever it’s called, so I don’t have to watch ads.

That’s ultimately what they want is for us to pay for it...this is one of the few things that’s worth paying for as I use it for everything DIY like truck repair to home renovations, even guitar tablature to music...I love you YouTube lol...priceless

Hell yeah man, shit, I learned how to tie a tie on youtube. Still can't do it, though. I use youtube for everything. I was an "early adopter" when it first came out in 05-06. I quit paying for cable a couple of years ago. YouTube, Netflix, HBO, Amazon.

Remember how bad the ads got a few years ago? I'd get em every 2 minutes on some videos. I was pissed about having all these ads but I figured they must have some crazy datacenters to run with all the videos out there for the past 15 years. Finally I caved in, and tbh, I get way more out of it than cable tv.
