Ive never hunted doves but would like too. The only choices I have here are pretty much Pheasant and quail, but nowadays, coming across a covey of quail is like striking a gold mine.

lol, no, i just love being out there.... Gives me a chance to appreciate nature, clear my mind, and feel like more of a man. The only thing more "man" than hunting, is boxing

Lol, sorry, but I have to say it....if you want to be so much a "man", and you feel the way to achieve that is hunting and boxing , why not combine the two, and instead of shooting your prey, just go a few rounds with it, and knock it out

Don't be hating, on me now lol it's just a commical suggestion and could quite possibly start a whole new trend

You had to pick two of the animals that actually "hunt" you while you hunt them. I'm going to try the wild boar ASAP I know they taste good as hell!

I love to fish!!! But my husband won't ever take me I'll fish for anything that'll bite, blue gill, small mouth, large mouth, stripe, crappie, Cat fish, minnows and old boot I'm not picky, I caught a carp once even that was almost as big as me

I've never been hunting, for anything other than a lousy, perverted, theiving, good for nothing, foul mouthed, destructive neighbor, and I had no luck finding him. I guess it was his lucky day

Unless you count shooting pumpkins, bottles, or targets???

I love fishing-especially saltwater fishing. As for hunting-as long as it it is 2-legged rats!

I love fly fishing. Hip deep in a cold mountain stream with not another human around for miles. Mountains raising all around you, bugs buzzing and wildlife everywhere. Ahhhh... heaven.

I use to deer hut alot but it got old, but i still turkey hunt in the spring and duck and goose hunt. I use to bow hunt quite a bit but shooting that bow all the time put alot of stress on my shoulder with that 70lb drawweight. Every now and then i will go after doves and i shoot squrrils all the time. Every spring and fall i go and do a bunch of fishin and load up the freezer with catfish. Mmmm nothin like good ole catfish dipped in egg batter and rolled in cornmeal and fried up with cornbread and beans and a tall glass of sweet tea....

Deffinitly... there was another thread on her when I first started working with her... got her in March 2004.

Things I have learned regarding hunting with birds of prey: have lots of time to invest, almost like a child; have a quality vet that studies birds of prey; always treat them with respect and keep their self confidence in themselves - and you, high; have plenty of available quarry; weigh them often for proper flight/maintenance weight; ...

This is my favorite pic to date... hopefully get some good ones this fall during some free flights...

BTW - Canada use to have Falconry outlawed (like firearms) but a few provinces have very recently brought it back... check with the CURRENT Ontario laws regarding falconry...

DUDE, you were cool before and I listened and appreciated all of your posts... but I must say...your F*CKIN stock has quadrupled in my books.

that is SIMPLY a friggen WICKED... WICKED PICTURE.

I am not a stranger to animals that prey... as all do to some degree...I have had many ... from Cayman crocodiles to red tailed boa's... but one of true beauty like the falcon are ones I cherish. BTW my father as a child had a red tailed hawk and it was INCREDIBLE!

I would love to see more pics of that wicked falcon

Sure - I got a few more... I got to run now but I can try and get you some more later... and possibly some video of her on the rabbit - and a quail... Check that older thread from this spring for some others...

Personally, I would like to try a Gyr some day... beautiful falcons with big sharp talons I have seen a few out here. Mine is a Lanner Falcon.

Growing up in a small town in Ga, there was nothing else to do. My life from the time I was 12 until 16 went something like this, get home from school, in the summer time went fishing, and in the winter time went hunting. Well until I got my first car, and then it was off chasing girls in all of my spare time. My friends and I would get our shot guns, caring both #6 and 00 buck shot, and head out. It was nice, we knew everyone, and had permission to hunt on everyone's property. I had over 10 farm ponds that we could go fishing at. Dam I miss those times.

Fisshing...Large mouth bass (14 lbs is my record) but I will admitt that it was caught out of the pond in my yard(11 acre pond) that I tend to toss 50lbs of dogfood into per week I will also catfish when I'm feeling lazy but I refuse to admitt to that since it is looked down on as a scavenger sport around here.

    Hunting:
Racoons and foxes using hounds (walker hounds)
White tail deer...barely larger than some F'n dogs down south but we do what we can.
Wild turkey...Just so I can rub it into the good ole boys that claim they are sooo hard to find/kill..on a side note they taste like garbage! I don't care how you cook them or what you use to drown out the nasty taste.

Next on my list is wild boar.
