I hope you people dont mind if I post up around this forum for a bit

Fo me to start learning about cutting

Ive spent the better part of my life in the gym learning about different lifting techniques for growth and size purely to get as big as I can...now in 3 months my cycle will be over and after talking with some of my closest friends on here ive decided to cut and try to maintain as much muscle as I can in the process. I will be asking alot of questions but I need to know where to start. I look forward to spending alot of time in the diet section to learn all that I can so that when the time to cut is upon me..I wont have the "deer stuck in the headlights look" I'd really like to see what I look like underneath this layer of extra padding..thanks in advance for your help

    PS...Im reading the stickies now

    Uh oh mass is here

This might help you a little too..

Diet and cardio are the 2 most important elements to shedding body fat. Its important that when you decide to start cutting you do cardio 5-7 days a week, in the morning on an empty stomach for 45-60 minutes. Your heart rate should remaind between 60-70%.

On Cardio/Lifting days diet goes as follows:

    *Before Cardio Take Glutamine
**Take your ECA/ECY/Thermo now if you choose to do so

    Cardio 45-60mins

    m1(approx 30-40 mins after cardio):
Pro/Fat: 1 6-8oz piece of lean meat or egg whites/1oz almonds(usually 28 almonds). Thats about 50g of protein/15g of fat.

m2:Pro/Fat Lean Meat, 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter. Approx. 50g of protein and 15g of fat.

m3: Pro/Fat 2 Scoops of whey and 1 tablespoon flaxseed oil. Approx. 50g of Protein and 15g of fat.

    -workout-

m4(PWO): 1 scoop of whey, 1/3 cup of dextrose. Approx. 25g protein/50g carb

m5(PPWO): 6-8oz Lean Meat(NOT STEAK OR SALMON), and half a cup of brown rice. Approx 50 protein/35carb

m6(before bed): 2 scoops whey, 1 teaspoon glutamine powder, 1 tablespoon of flaxseed oil.

Cardio Only Days (Follow the food outline from above for your sources of EFA's(essential fatty acids) and protein:

    Cardio 45-60mins
    m1: Pro/Fat
    m2: Pro/Fat
    m3: Pro/Fat (optional Pro/Carb)
    m4: Pro/Fat
    m5: Pro/Fat

    Lifting Only Days:

    m1: Pro/Fat
    m2: Pro/Fat
    m3: Pro/Fat
    -Workout-
    m4(PWO): Pro/Dex
    m5(PPWO): Pro/Carb
    m6: Pro/Fat

Your source of protein can be chicken, tuna, lean ground beef, turkey or egg whites(eggs). Steak and salmon can also be used but not in PPWO meal.

Cheat one meal, once a week don’t overdue it.

Honestly Mass I wouldn't cut after PCT...... you are already in a state of catabolism during PCT and that is just asking for more muscle loss. You might want to consider bulking a little longer while on cycle, then cut while on cycle as well, and then eat maintenace during PCT. It is up to you, but at your size and after just completing PCT I would say some muscle loss might occur even if your diet is 100% on. You might want to wait and see what SwoleCat has to say about this as he would know more than I would on this particular topic, but that's what I would do if I was in your shoes.

Yeah no ****...it took awhile to get used to eating all that...and now I can actually eat more than that if i really wanted to..but I have to implement a little restraint

Do cardio in the morning...... if you absolutely can't do that then do cardio after you lift.

It's okay G, life is too short brutha.

I now take all this type of stuff as part of the territory, it goes with what I do. So, I can accept it and succeed, or let it bother me and fail. Well, I think you know where my heart lies.

    Best of luck to you,

I have no energy, nor desire, to explain myself yet again on a subject that has been beaten worse than Rodney King. However, since my coffee kicked in just a bit, here's a few more baton whirls..................

Cardio after working out is something I'd never do, but that's just me. Makes NO sense to mix aerobics/anaerobics, as they send two ENTIRELY different messages to the body, AND both have their own purposeful mechanisms (fat loss, anabolism), both of which greatly suffer because of intereference from the other.
(EX: lipolysis is engaged after the cardio, then you slam down a pwo drink, thus stopping fat burning in it's tracks) Smart? No...........
As well, after weights you want to replinish glycogen stores as quickly as you can to begin recovery, NOT perform cardio in an already EXTENDED catabolic state.

I love the argument of not doing cardio a.m. as it's "TOO CATABOLIC", yet one will do CARDIO after an intense weight training session. Talk about catabolic! You tell me when glycogen replinishment and cortisol is the HIGHEST. A.M cardio is only catabolic for those who do not know how to eat correctly the other 23+ hours of the day.

Remember, just because someone "competes" doesn't mean those methods are going to work for the average person. Believe me, if all of the 1000's I helped were doing cardio after weights, I wouldn't have the success rate/popularity that I do today. I'd also be running for my life from people wanting to kil me from over-training, losing lean mass, remaining fat, etc.

All in all, simply try one method, if it doesn't seem to work, simply move on to another one.
