I was 20 when I went to college. I moved back home for 3 months after college, so I was 22 when I left for good. I work woth a guy who is 43 and lives with his mom. We make fun of him all the time!!

My parents own a duplex... the old family who rented from them left to buy a house, so now me and my little brother rent from my parents, since I was 20

My parents divorced when I was 18, and I stayed home with my Mom, for 6 years, until she could handle the bills.

Same boat here too.............. I had to help my mom with the bills and things but she would take a lot out on me.......... pretty much my whole time living with my mom she would beat me and stuff........ it didn't hurt me physically but emotionaly it hurt........... so I had enough when I was 22 and moved out so I could be happy.

I truly hate to hear that.

My relationship with my mother was much better. I had a full time job during my senior year in highschool, and was able to make the house payment, and such. It worked pretty well for both of us I figure.

I got married at 20 and obviously haven't gone back. It'll be 5 years in May. I have an older brother though who is 27 and still lives at home. Unfortunately he has cerebral Palsy and probably won;t move out until my parents can no longer care for him. Then he'll probably come live with me or one of my other brothers.

Senior year of undergrad, i was 20...i have a really good relationship with each of my parents, so i didn't feel like i had to leave, just that i wanted to experience it.

I think my mom would prefer if i was still home...but it's good to be out on my own.

I was 16 and moved to a different province, I guess I really wanted my space at that time!! There was also the fact my mom was charging me $300 rent to live at home though!! I showed her!! We're alot closer now probably because of it though.

My mom and step-dad divorced and she moved to Arkansas. I stayed behind and moved into an apartment with some older freinds at the ripe old age of 15.

moved out my Senior yr. of HS, worked, and finished HS. I then worked for another year before going to college. Been totally independent since I was 18. Now I live with my fiance, work full time, pay for college, support us, everything.
