My parents divorced when I was 18, and I stayed home with my Mom, for 6 years, until she could handle the bills.
17. My family was torn apart, we all scattered. Now i'm paying my own way through a heavy hitter![]()
Kudos Bro, not many teenagers these days would do that!!Originally Posted by Bigen12
Same boat here too.............. I had to help my mom with the bills and things but she would take a lot out on me.......... pretty much my whole time living with my mom she would beat me and stuff........ it didn't hurt me physically but emotionaly it hurt........... so I had enough when I was 22 and moved out so I could be happy.Originally Posted by Bigen12
I truly hate to hear that.Originally Posted by TheMudMan
My relationship with my mother was much better. I had a full time job during my senior year in highschool, and was able to make the house payment, and such. It worked pretty well for both of us I figure.
17. Went off to college and never looked back.

My second year of undergrad when I was 20.
I got married at 20 and obviously haven't gone back. It'll be 5 years in May. I have an older brother though who is 27 and still lives at home. Unfortunately he has cerebral Palsy and probably won;t move out until my parents can no longer care for him. Then he'll probably come live with me or one of my other brothers.
19.. couldnt stand even one more day
Senior year of undergrad, i was 20...i have a really good relationship with each of my parents, so i didn't feel like i had to leave, just that i wanted to experience it.
I think my mom would prefer if i was still home...but it's good to be out on my own.
I graduated high school at 17 and moved out then

I was 16 and moved to a different province, I guess I really wanted my space at that time!! There was also the fact my mom was charging me $300 rent to live at home though!! I showed her!! We're alot closer now probably because of it though.
I'm 22 and just moved out.
