Hes crying cause at 6 weeks hes been wheened off its mother to soon, rule of thumb is the 8-12 week mark. Your going to have to watch its milk intake now and perhaps invest in calcium pills for pups. You got a good choice getting that Rottie they are faithful dogs(thats why along with german sheperds the nazis loved them).

Got my rott at 5 weeks old and he cried for about a week. And **** just about everywhere in the house, lil bastard. He's now 5 1/2 years old and weighing in at 130lbs. Here's a photo...and like you said, a VERY loyal dog. Still got that puppy face though...

he is 3rd gereration german. Has pedigree and everything. he should stop sh**ing in the house within hopefully a week or so. Just give him tons of attention right away and he will be loyal to you and only you forever. They never forget.

Put him to bed with a warm water bottle under the blanket and a manual alarm clock. The warmth is like his mother...the ticking of the clock is like the rhythm of his Mom's heart. Worked wonders on my brother's puppy.
