You always want to have low GI carbs while dieting even before workout, but you can have some simple carbs after your workout so that you body can quickly replenish muscle glycogen, otherwise it might convert protein from muscle to do that.Originally Posted by REZA

Pre work out shake 1hr before lifting 3/4 cup fine chopped/blended oldfashion oats to make them readily absorbable yes this raises their GI/II and 30g Whey Isolate Protein, w/ 5g Additional BCAAs and 5g Glutamine.
