I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, so I'm not really worried, but the drug tests used for new hires generally only check for weed and narcotics, correct?
They're not going to check for steroids, right?

No... they would have to test specifically for the AAS metabolites and 99 jobs out of 100... hell, 9999 jobs out 10000 have no reason to test for them. And a test for testosterone use (a T/E ratio) would be a complete waste of company funds...
cool. Thanks for the quick response.
they dont test for it because most work places encourage it... lol i made that up...

Yup, they won't test for aas. Only one's I know of that do are government (ie military, police, firedept, ect.). I've never heard of a private company testing for aas. It's too expensive.
dont know if it changes from place to place but in the area i live in, the northeast, they dont test for it for police or firedept. will just come up as a question on police polygraph.Originally Posted by cfiler
Some police type jobs are now testing for it..other than that you should be in the clear.
I own a small business. I had to cater our drug testing program around our customers requirements. There were some VERY large companies that are household names and some were state DOT's and railroads....none required anything more than ophiates, marijuana, cocaine, and meth. Actually the DOT's and railroads were more lax than the private companies.
To top that the "name brand" drug testing companies I interviewed never even showed me a plan (and there were many to choose from) that even had AS testing.
So again....you should be fine..
