    Aspirating - Need Help

    when i've been aspirating nothing seems to happen, no blood etc., but i can't really tell if the plunger is going back cause...even though i'm pulling back on that shit super hard i get no air in the syringe, which seems strange.

    any thoughts, am i doing it right?! wtf...

    Veins are under pressure...and blood flows pretty easily through a needle. If you were in a vein, you would know. It wouldn't be difficult to pull.

    I usually pull back on the plunger and if I feel resistance and see no blood in the syringe, then I go ahead and inject. You have to pull fairly hard to see air bubbles.

    I have drawn blood a few times, but I have a question. When you say you pull back super hard, could you elaborate? For example if the syringe holds 3ml and you have 1.5ml of AAS, how far do you pull the plunger back? I usually pull it back about .5ml, which is about 1/6 the length of the entire plunger to see the bubbles expand. If I pulled super hard, the pluger would pop right out of the back of the syringe, so I would like to have a more detailed understanding of your meaning of pulling super hard. Thanks

    I second that question, I only pullback the length of half a cc.
    I'm thinking that should be enough to know whether or not you are in a vein which I believe is the main point of aspirating is it not?

    As fLg said veins are pressurized. There's no need to truly pull back, just let up and give a slight tug. If you're in it'll come rushing.
