I use 23's for everything including shoulders. It would be better for me if I would by some 25's, but I don't like having such a mixed inventory. If the pain doesn't bother you, go for it.
Is that 1/2" long? I've always used 5/8" for delts. Don't know why you'd have to go "half way"? As for 22 vs 25 gauge I don't think it will make that much difference. It'll be easier to shoot anyway.
This is your first cycle? If you are comfortable with the 22 ers then kool, they'll work. But when you make the switch over to 23 - 25, you'll notice a big difference going back. I've been using the 23 for awhile now. The other week i was out and used a 22.5er, felt like a dart in shoulder....
thanks for the advice guys. yea the needle is 1 1/2...my bad. i think i'll just try the 22's tomorrow in the delt. test prop is killin my ass right now.
25g 5/8 or 1 inch depending on body fat
I personally use 25ga 1in for delts and quads, but 22's will work fine.
If you think 1.5in is a bit deep, instead of just stabbing it "halfway in" (which is probably not too stable), make a 1in "depth gauge" with a pin cap so the needle will only go in 1in and remain stable as you inject. Of course make sure to disinfect the "depth gauge" with alcohol before using!!!
I did this when I ran out of 25ga 1in a few years ago.
By the way masonman, with daily injects you may want to hit quads, glutes and delts... that way no site gets hit more than once per 6 day cycle.

hell of an idea bro...thanks. i will be using this method for sure. by the way...what did you use to get such a clean cut on the pin cap?Originally Posted by Red Ketchup
The cut was done simply with a sharp box cutter. You just rotate the cap as you cut.Originally Posted by MasonMan
For those wondering, I got that trick many years ago off a friend of mine who is a nurse at the local Childrens hospital.

That was one of the best ideas I have seen in a while, now I am going to tell my friends about it and pass it off as my own, thanks man! No but really that is a great idea was it passed on to you or was it your own?
That needle scares me! I draw with 21 or 22 and inject with 25's. Unless your very lean (less then 10% BF) wouldnt 1" be better for injection? 1/2" you might wind up with a SQ injection.
Nice cap ingenuity Red K!
Sigh, I see that you DID cut the cap at 1" and your referring to a 1.5" needle. disregard my 1/2" comment above...think I'll go have a coffee.
