Delt Shots??

hey guys, just wondering what size needle to use when injecting into delts, i've always injected in the butt , just recently got a flu shot, and it wasnt painful at all, so I decided to go with the shoulder, another question is what and how much of certain steroids can you inject safely without getting sore in the delt area.. thanks!!

25 guage 1" or 5/8" should work fine.

Most won't inject more than 2cc's into delts.

I use 23 gauge 1 inch for everything, and put it all the way in.

25g 1 inch is what I prefer and I do a minimum of 2cc usually 2.5 or 3cc.

I use 23g.

Sometimes I get sore, other times I don't. It really doesn't bother me much though. I've gotten only really sore when I didn't massage the area well or worked on the delt that day.

Usually when injecting the delt, I take a hot shower beforehand to loosen up. Some people get more sore than others but generally you should be fine provided you are loose and rotate your injection spots to other areas, such as your glute.
