    Recovery on prop

I'm 9.5 weeks into my 12 week cycle of prop, so far every thing has been great.

The past week and a half my recovery seems to be through the roof, I switched my split up about 3 weeks ago.

    mon - chest/calfs
    tues - traps/delts
    wed - bi's/tri's
    thur - hams/glutes
    fri - back/abs

Now I usually have sat as an off day, or sunday. But lately, work has been slow since we've hired on more kids for summer. I get about 9-11 hours of sleep each night, I have plenty of time to eat nice fat meals 2-3 hours apart.

I just feel like I don't need an off day, I know it's like a bodybuilding rule (or seems to be) that one must have at least 1 day off.

But with the time I have to eat, rest, and recover in between workouts, I really feel like I can hit the gym 7 days a week.

Anyone object or feel otherwise? opinions? thanks.

I call it overtraining, and you're sounding borderline obsessive compulsive too.

try this 2days on and a day off. steroids improve recovery but u still need to load up on carbs for intensive workouts...

I believe everyone is different in terms of recovery etc, you should jus try and listen to your body as to when you need to rest, i can normally have 4 heavy sessions in a row then i start to feel tired early in the day and find it hard to get out of bed for work this is when i take a day off from the gym, rest is a vital part of training so that your muscles can repair themselves....you jus need to find out whats right for your body and listen to it when your tired make sure you take a day off training!

Right I knew this, I was under the impression cns recovery was similar to muscle recovery, aided by the same factors such as, sleep, food, etc. I could be wrong.

LoL Wut? I am on a aas cycle, bodybuilding is one of the most important aspects of my life (as of now) I'm trying to get all I can out of my cycle. Not trying to sound ocd on bodybuilding. I have managed to still work, and keep a healthy social life.

Right, this is one of the most important things I try to do is lift, eat, and rest according to what my body is telling me. I've just felt so great lately, I have all this time to sleep/rest and eat in between sessions.

At the beginning of my cycle, I was getting beat down from the gym, always feeling tired and unmotivated from such intense sessions, I did a week of deloading, then took about 3 days off.

Since then I've felt like a million bucks, and recovery just seems to be phenomenal. I will indeed take a day off this weekend, maybe two. I just wanted some opinions on what others thought

    Thanks guys!

Everyone's guilty of overtraining at sometime in their life. Whether on or off cycle the body still needs to rest. I get it, you have all these hormones flowing through your body telling you different things like train train train, but you've got to maintain Balance. Your only in the gym roughly an hour at a time, it's the rest of the 23 hours that are more important than what you did in the gym.

Right I know you only grow outside the gym, when at rest.

I will have some days off from the gym this weekend.
