6 low carb days. and 1 high carb day? or medium carb day? what is recommended?

Its been a week and my strength is exactly the same. . And I lost 4 pounds. Last week i was 175 pounds fresh in the morning. Now i am 171 pounds fresh in the morning.. But I am guessing most of it is water weight from being on low carbs(110-115G a day) and eating so clean. Im going to continue my diet because my strength is not decreasing at all and im losing weight...

I plan to have 1 cheat MEAL a week. And on that day, Im not sure how much should increase my carbs to avoid muscle mass loss from being on a low carb for so long(6 days) is 200-215 Grams of carbs good 1 day of the week if i am normally on a 110-115G carb for 6 days a week.?

If you're going all week on low carb, I'd have your one day be a higher than 200g. I personally shoot for 400-500g of carbs when I carb cycle that way.

You can also try adding high and medium carbs days in throughout the week (preferably on days you train large body parts like back and legs).

I eat my 500 below maintenance calories 6 days a week, I eat the proper foods and do 30 minutes of cardio a day on the elliptical and have a cheat day and eat cake, pizza, cheeseburgers on Saturday and I am able to lose 1-1.5 lbs per week. It's ridiculous not to have one day just off completely and not worry about a damn thing.

I love fitness and lifting and everything that goes with it, but it becomes to much of an obsession if you let it.

Your advice is bordering on irresponsible IMO. Just because you may be able to get away with a full on cheat day (God bless you!) doesn't mean everybody can.

I completely understand your point from a mental stance, i.e. just being able to let go and not obsess over every little thing for a day - and maybe at some level of fitness, people can do that. But alot of guys on this board are grossly overweight and don't know how to diet, and a full blown cheat day can negate a week's worth of dieting.
