    Oats vs chia

    Anyone had experience with chia?
I'm of the understanding it a complex protein? Can't find to much out there on it.
After 5 years of oats I'm trying to find different options or is there nothing beter than them.

You mean this kind of chia???? I've heard of people eating the sprouts in salads but I'm not planning trying it any time soon.

Chia is a seed and it's really high in fat....Not really that good, at least compared to oats...I would consider chia more like a nut because also like nuts they are high in fats and are a good source of "Healthy" fats.....

Oats is probably the best complex carb you can eat...Super low in fat, high in protein, and doesn't impact your blood sugars as much as other carbs...

Hmm thanks I can't find much out there on it, lucky I had it for a cheat meal.
It was very tasty tho. I read that aztec worriers survived on 1 tablespoon of it per day only.

If you're looking for a substitute that's a little bit similar try grits or cream of wheat.....Add some can't believe it's not butter spray and some sweet n' low...Pretty good
