TRT as saved my life but what happens in when my balls shut down?

First of after 3 weeks on the gel long term severe depression is gone, I'm starting to experience actual lust for the 1st time in 11 years, makes me nearly cry when I think of everything Iv been missing out on, at 29 I feel more back to my old self then ever before depression kicked in.

Now I'm feeling better I need to know will my testes shut down natural testosterone, any info on hcg?

I asked this supposed specialist I'm seeing heres what he said "On your earlier point there about your testacies “going to shut down” I am not sure where you got this from
but again, it does not happen with modern TRT."

Starting to think this guy is a quack as even the endo I saw previously told me they would shut down.

    Welcom
Visit the HRT section. You will find lots of good information there. HCG is good if you want to keep your ball hanging but a lot of people do just fine without it. Being on HRT is also not sure to make you sterile. Plenty of guys here get their women pregnant on cycle or TRT.

trt will definitely shut down your natural test. but the reason why you're on trt in the first place is that your natural test production is supposed to be crap. so shutting down an under-performing system should be no big loss.

which is why getting a correct initial diagnosis is so critical. otherwise, you may be shutting down a perfectly functioning system for no good reason. thats why trt should be started only after extensive investigations to arrive at the correct diagnosis.

even after diagnosis is made, some drs may try to kick-start a failing system with either clomid or hcg. trt is only given if these fail. but different drs have diff opinion regarding this step.

anyway, i am sure your dr already knows this, and has reasons to do what he did.

    congrats on you recovery!

Let's say your testes shuts down and you produce zero testosterone. No problem, you go on TRT and inject 100mg/wk of Test. It's that simple. You won't crash because once you start TRT your testes will continue to slow down production of testosterone and you'll continue to inject synthetic testosterone periodically to maintain your endogenous level.

thats right, if you feel like there isnt enough test in your system, or the bloodworks shows there isnt enough, simply inject more on the next dose. but leave it to your doc to adjust, of cos..

Sweet!! was getting very concerned about my recovery turning to shit, so now my only worries are my balls turning to grapes and possibly not being able to have kids.

If you've had low Test levels anyway, I wonder if the Test injections are going to shut you down much more then where you're already at. Run HCG 250iu twice a week for a while and stimulate your natural production. Cross your fingers. Kids are pretty awesome.

Patrick I'b been going through 15 years of my life as a shell of the person I used to be until now so I'm pretty much over the moon about it, pretty sure Id like to be a father someday will definitely look into HCG. After 5 months the endo as still not sent me my full bloods, all I got was my total test level and I'm leaving messages with her secretary every week, after talking to a doctor friend and have him telling me blood tests are notoriously unreliable when it comes to hormones I contacted this specialist who gave me my diagnosis based on symptoms alone.
The last Gp I suggested low-T as being a plausible cause whilst in the pits of severe depression with a smug grin on his face has if I'm some idiot he asks have you ever considered ECT treatment??

It's nuts, my personality is coming back to me, my love for music and my completely non-existent libido have all but returned so right now I'm seriously considering sue-ing my Gp for a further loss of 7 years of life when I first suggested all my symptoms being related to low-T which he completely dismissed and passed me on to physciatrists and medications that never did anything.

More times than not it's not people get use to GOOD feeling and it starts to feel normal. Just like anything, you chase the new good feeling. If you really think after a year or two it's not working like it was try going off it for a month or two and you will see/feel the difference.

I get exactly what your saying and I think I'm over the initial feeling good hump which was pretty intense, all I wanted from this was normality which I got so I have no interest in chasing a high

I can see the temptation to do but I'm happy to be where I am considering where I was for 14 years and I'm pretty sure long term that's not a good road to go down.

Could be something else like high e2. My natural testosterone shut down almost immediately, I'm talking second week from administering testosterone my test was lower than before shots, upped dose fixed it of course. but in your case where you were feeling good, sounds like something else is going on.

I'm just using testogel applied daily 50mg/5g, I need to wait a few days before making rash assumption's, bad days of feeling really shitty are normal.
