When to know if you've hit the "sweet spot"

Hey all.. First time poster, long time lurker.

Ive been cutting for the past month or so and i've lost about an average 0.5 or so KG a week, just curious as to how you know if you've hit a sweet spot? And how do you adjust the diet as your body changes?

Ive always been able to diet, but just lack the knowledge of when to CHANGE my diet as i go along...

    any input would be great!

    And i've read cutting 101

    Welcome to the board!

It sounds like you've already hit your sweet spot seeing as you're averaging about 1lb loss a week. That typically indicates you're slowly and steadily burning mostly fat. IMO, as long as these results continue (and assuming you're being consistent with diet and training), I wouldn't change a thing, regardless of your body changing.

Now, when is it time to change? The obvious one is when results slow/stop. Even then, i'd give it 2 weeks to be sure. Sometimes there are just weeks when nothing happens. Fat loss (and muscle growth for that matter) doesn't occur in a linear fashion. Also, if energy level/mood changes for the worse, consider changing. Add 15 mins to your cardio sessions, and/or up the intensity. Reduce calories slightly, 200 or so to start with. I'd opt for the former over the latter however. Also, reevaluate your diet and see if there's anything that can be taken out to bring things back into motion... i.e. milk, breads, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Welcome!

I'd agree and say you found a pretty sweet, 'sweet spot' so I'd continue your curent regiment, as far as when to change, I go by numbers, mirror, and demeanor (2 out of 3 lacking = time to change it up)

    Stats? training status?

Yeah i guess everyone was a lurker at once stage!

Thanks for the input guys, that was always something i was airy about for a long time now. So im keeping track of everything, diet, weight, and i'll keep re-checking every week and so on.

Right now im about 80kg (176lb) 6"0 & training about 5 days a week (been training for a few years now) I've got some clen too, you guys think HIIT is okay while taking clen or wait till i have 2 weeks off and pump out the HIIT in that time?

Where's the BF% at? Do you have any pics you can post?

Re: clen and HIIT: depends on how you do. As you probably know, some people have a tough time with cardio in general while on clen. Obviously, HIIT isn't going to be any easier on those same people. You'll have to test this out for yourself. If I were to err on the side of caution, i'd probably save it for the downtime.

I havent had my BF checked, but im pretty sure im sitting around 14%, im pretty lean, except got stubborn areas like love handles, and lower ab fat that i can pinch out.

Im going to cycle it yeh as you said, 2 weeks clen, 2 weeks HIIT. I've also got a new diet i just spent a few hours writing up, its on carb cycling. I'd love to post it and show you guys but the board isn't letting me I can link it too, but the boards not letting me do that either haha... overkill much

(P.s That's myself in my avatar, so you tell me how much bf i got! :P ) - That was during bulk, as u can see the carb bloat )

Small pic, tough to tell, but you're close @ 14%. Maybe 15 to be honest.
