Considering first cycle, need advice from the vets. Yes, I did my research!

    Hey there,

I'm 6'4", 245lb, 15% bf, former Div 1 football player and currently a personal trainer.

I love being a trainer, but it's not the best job to support a family, unless your client is Madonna, so I'm joining the Coast Guard. They offer the best health plan, and it's only a 4 year commitment.

Enough about that, here's my question.

To join the coast guard, I MUST weight 217lbs. Last time I was 217, I was 12 years old. My muscles are very dense, I look a lot lighter then I am, so it's hard for me to lose weight.
I tried just doing a shit ton of cardio and not lifting but I didn't lose muscle, just 10lbs of fat, but still to heavy.
I got some sust 250 from a client. If I take a cycle, and do everything correct(diet, training, rest) will I go down to 217, or just get ripped at 230? I need to lose weight, regardless if it's fat or muscle. I'm hoping if I build more muscle, it will help torch the fat.

I'm afraid I'm gonna get lean, but not lighter.

What do y'all think I should do?

    Thanks in advance

Tough situation. You need to cut calories a lot I'd say. You probably eat more than you think, count everyday.

Your situation is very unique lol. Your problems are what pretty much everyone else here strives for.

You have 208 lbs of lean mass, at 217 that leaves you at 9 lbs of fat or 4% bf. Your going to need to drop some muscle if you want to make 217.

This is a first. Someone sorta mad about not wanting to get ripped at 230. That's awesome brother.

Congrats on wanting to enter the coast guard. Thank you

Op can the body weight clause be challenged via a body fat test for people in your situation? Sometimes alternative testing is offerred? And like Axx said, thanks and good luck to you. Also, hit the nutrition forum for some expert guidance. Personally I would not mess with AAS in your situation.
