Hell's No, that's asking for back door troubles. However with that said have you ever seen a colonoscopy done. As they insert a huge inflatable rubber hose up in your anus way way way up where the sun don't shine. Why not just close or 'lock' threads to new posts that are.older than a certain date? I'm pretty sure vBul provides a function for that and if not I don't think it would be that hard to code. I haven't touched a unix box with php on it in years though so could be wrong. Probably am lol.
