It is most likely caused by a lack of direction in handling their inadequacies.
I.e. the antagonizer feels insecure and projects it onto others in unhealthy ways.

Hope you get everything worked out. I know this is not the same but there's a guy that works at the same place as me and his intention all the time is to get 2 people pitted against each other and sit back and watch the damage. He loves to stir crap up and for everyone to be mad at each other while wanting everyone to like him. He's a snake and a liar and I can't stand to be around him. People are slowly figuring him out though and he's burning bridges. I have no idea why he does this but he truly enjoys doing it. I'll never understand it and I have no idea why it has taken people so long to figure out what he's doing.

I come to find that there is always a reason for why someone does what they do , whether it's past related or an issue they choose to not deal with or simply because they suck.
Understand that it is out of your hands and you can't control that situation , you can only control how you deal with it or don't deal with it . Sometimes it's easier said than done but if you let this person get to you , it only adds more ammo for their already shitty self confidence.

It's always been my experience that dick-heads like this don't know how to or don't have any desire to discuss. Their M.O. is to disrupt and suck you into an argument, which brings them pleasure. Inherently you feel you are weak & flawed in doing so, which is their objective. Just my 2 cents. Again good luck.

I seem to have this affect on people sometimes, idk anymore
I have my own insecurities but i don't really project those onto other people as i internalize it and see what am i doing wrong for myself rather than take it out on others
It seems like this isn't the first time though, i have noticed others getting insecure around me and i really dont know what it could be

Either you have to check yourself or think about changing the people you surround yourself with ... Or both .
Sometimes I think I'm doing right by people or saying good things but if I would to see if from their perspective, it would be totally different.
Just a thought , either way if theu bring you down , seperate yourself from these people .
